[Darcy sits in front of her console and squints. Well. It's not Facebook but it's something. She leans back and relaxes her posture.]

Okay, so the idea of going to another world isn’t exactly new for me, but having it actually happen? Yeah, that’s pretty surprising. Man, Jane would flip if she knew about this! Also, the giant turtle thing? Crazy. But also pretty damn cool.

So anyway! Seeing as I’m stuck here for now, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Darcy: a severely underpaid intern who just earned her degree. Seriously, I didn’t even have time to celebrate before I turned up here. Looking forward to meeting all my turtle-neighbors, though. I don’t suppose this is some secret part of Asgard, is it? That’s the only other world I’m that familiar with.

Oh, and one more thing. I should probably ask this just in case: is there a Jane Foster or Erik Selvig here? Erik might be a little on the, erm, nutty side at the moment? Happens when you get an alien poking around in your head, I guess.

Thor! Hey!

[Her face lights up with recognition.]

Wait. [She stops and looks contemplative.] So this really is part of Asgard?

[This is so great to him right now. He's just going to introduce Darcy to his Avenger teammates and the new people he's met recently and they can put books on each other's faces.

Yes, he's grinning like a schoolboy and he chuckles a bit.]

No, no. This realm is far removed from Asgard. Whatever planet this turtle is on, it is not one of the nine realms. Neither Jane nor Erik are here, but there are others from our worlds.

[He's not about to drop the fact that there's another Thor on her just yet. It's her first day.]

[She nods, pouting just a bit. She was kind of hoping to hear that at least Jane was there. This really was her kind of field trip, after all. But Thor was a welcomed sight, too. She felt a little better knowing the big guy was around.]

Okay. So does that mean you don't know how to get in or out of here?

And...people from both of our worlds?

There is much behind the Emperor's summoning, but as far as I know; it is the only way to enter this realm. Leaving it is another matter.

[Beat.]

Yes, from your Earth there is the Iron Man, Bruce Banner, and Natasha Romanoff. [If there are more, he hasn't met them yet.] I worked with them to save New York while you and Jane were in Norway.

[Don't ask how he knows that.]

Those that are summoned do not come from out universe alone. From a different Asgard hails a younger version of my brother. He's nothing like my own brother.

[There are other Avengers here? Stowing that information away for future use!]

[He can't help but smile. Her confusion mirrored his when the other Thor informed him.]

Just as much as there is another Darcy in a separate universe, yes. I've never traversed outside of ours, but the Emperor's magic is powerful even for Asgard.

I have been here little over a month and am still learning the turtle and it's workings.

So what's the plan then? Are you planning to help out here, too? Or figure a way out?

Of course. Defending other realms is Asgard's duty, and mine. That seems to be the only way to leave thus far.

[That smile's not coming off his face as he points at her.]

I think I know of the perfect place for you to work.

[She looks a little surprised. Oh yeah. Work was still a thing, wasn't it?]

Stark, the Man of Iron, has fashioned himself a company in the Fire Sector. You know of Jane’s work and I think he would be most interested in it.

[Because he’s not that great with encryptions, he leans in and whispers instead.]

It may help him find another way out of this realm.

[If it were possible, Thor would stay true to his word to stay and fight, do what he considers his duty. But if it would get others like the children and civilians not made to fight to safety, then all the better.]

I don't know if I know it well enough to relay it to someone else, though.

[She pauses, thinking about it.]

It couldn't hurt, though. There's got to be something I can do.

Even a little will go a long way here, there is no harm in putting forth effort. He'll find you work.

[And if that somehow fails, Thor will think of something. He'll try at least.]

[She smiles at him. Always looking out for everyone, Thor.]

Sure. But let's be honest. Who wouldn't want to hire me?

[Rhetorical question, but Thor pauses to consider it.]

My father. [A shrug of his big shoulders. No surprises to him there.]

But here? I dare say none. Keep me abreast of your talk with Stark. Mention my recommendation of you if he seems obstinate, though I doubt that shall be a problem. I am in the Wood Sector at 3B if ever you need something.

[If push comes to shove, he’ll just offer her sanctuary at his suite. Three floors was spacious enough to house his family, the Warriors Three, and Lady Sif as it stands.]

[She continues to smile, really meaning it.]

Of course. [So does he, because faking one isn't something he does often, if ever.]

Then you'll be seeing more of me than you may have wanted.

[That's actually a good segue now that he thinks about it.]

But that may also be because of there being another Thor Odinson.

[Her eyes narrow at that.]

But he too wields Mjölnir and is of Asgard. You'll find I'm not the only that has alternate counterpart.

[A small smirk.]

But if it is any consolation, you are the only Darcy here.

This place couldn't handle more than one of me.

That, I won't argue.

[There's a small list of people that he can be a little more loose around, and Darcy's somewhere near the top.]

But if it ever seems to be too much, there's plenty of brew to drink. I recommend the Brazen Turtle tavern if you're ever in need. It is easy to find since it lies at the heart of all the sectors.

[Guess who's becoming a bit of an expert on booze since he can't really get drunk?]

[She perks up a bit.]

Color me interested. I'll have to go check it out with you sometime.

[A chuckle.]

I’ll treat you to it then. [No idea what the “Waterbender” drink there is, but he’s set on trying it someday.]
