[He makes an exaggerated roll of his eyes.]

Instead of getting off that easy, nevermind the brief stint of amnesia and all the other chaos going on, I get brought here. And yeah, yeah, I heard time is stopped there, but do you think I'd be asking this if I cared about that? I have big, important, leaderly business to do, and I cannot summon the electrical impulse to fire the neurons that would make me care about this mandatory break in plans. Oh calm the fuck down, Kar. It will always mean somethin', no matter how much you deny it. Your denial means absolutely fuckin' nothin'.

[Of course he's just being stubborn for no real reason. He honestly has nothing to make him decline Karkat's friendship beyond his own stupid stubbornness. He's not even outright sure why he's doing it, maybe to make some point? But what sort of point even is it? Perhaps that he's trying to just move on from his old crappy friends, even if Karkat was the diamond in the rough, so to speak.]

Also, you know what I'm bloody capable of, I'd suggest you keep your empty threats to a minimal.

[Oh, that hurt. It shows in his face, too, though he does what he can to hide it behind (some pretty legit) ire. It figures, it fucking figures that this self-absorbed douchewad would pull that stunt. Hemo crap on one hand, flippant rejection on the other. He's only come from a situation where he felt like his remaining friends had drifted from him considerably over the past few years, here into a situation where one person out of the trolls and humans is even present.]
