[Hello hello Jack is greeting all of you lovely post-waterlogged people with a salute and a smile. For the so inclined, you might notice the backdrop has changed a little - because he's not in his flat. He is in fact posting from the Doctor's computer.]

[ But whoever could this be? In the background, those watching may spy the familiar face of the Doctor. Except instead of his usual tweed and bowtie, he's wrapped in a blanket and not looking quite as energetic as usual for anyone familiar with him. ]

[ ...something being the mauve tinge his face currently has.

In which Jack turns around to witness said mauve, trailing off and forgetting whatever he was talking about.]

Mauve, actually. And it's really quite concerning.

It sounds impossibly strange,

[CT just...doesn't say anything for a moment. She's kind of hoping that if she doesn't give him anything to respond to, the rhyming will stop.]

[ yeah he doesn't necessarily want to rhyme either and he can tell she hasn't hung up, so he taps at the microphone a bit. ]

[CT lets the silence stretch out as long as she can stand it, shifting uncomfortably, before she finally ventures to speak.]

So...?

[ we're sorry, the doctor you are trying to reach has accidentally fallen asleep on the console from exhaustion. would you like to wake him up or leave a message and try again later? ]

[yeah no there's no way she's just going to let him disappear from the conversation that way. She waits a bit in case he says something else, and when he doesn't, she raises her voice a little bit.]

Doctor?

[Any hint of panic he may think he hears in her tone is, naturally, entirely due to the Doctor's overactive imagination.]

[ UH HUH well his imagination sure does a good job of timing too because he only catches the tail end of that worry as he wakes with a start. ]

I'm here, sorry, still here!

[ she should be able to hear some strange sounds as he scrambles around trying to check the time and untangle himself from his blanket, etc. ]

I don't think I've fallen asleep like that before. It's really quite rare.

Fallen asleep like what? In the middle of talking to someone?

[She lets herself sulk for a second, telling herself that she's annoyed and not relieved.]

It must be the illness. I really am so sorry. I don't think I've had to deal with such a strange strain on my -- well, everything, before and not have it be something fatal.

Well, it wouldn't have actually been fatal those other times, or you wouldn't be here.

Maybe you should...just go back to bed.
