[Hello hello Jack is greeting all of you lovely post-waterlogged people with a salute and a smile. For the so inclined, you might notice the backdrop has changed a little - because he's not in his flat. He is in fact posting from the Doctor's computer.]
Has there been a damage assessment from the storm yet? Property, businesses, people? If anyo-
[ But whoever could this be? In the background, those watching may spy the familiar face of the Doctor. Except instead of his usual tweed and bowtie, he's wrapped in a blanket and not looking quite as energetic as usual for anyone familiar with him. ]
-- Jack. Something feels off.
[ ...something being the mauve tinge his face currently has.
Come round, everyone. Thus begins the wonderful story of "Captain Jack hears an achoo!"
In which Jack turns around to witness said mauve, trailing off and forgetting whatever he was talking about.]
Doctor? ...You're purple.
Mauve, actually. And it's really quite concerning.
My hands are all clammy and my forehead feels like burning.
I liked you better pink. --Are you sick? Can you get sick?
That's only on Wednesdays and no, that's rubbish. I really can't be sure, I need a celery stick.
Are you channeling Dr. Seuss? What did you get into now?
I feel just okay, I feel just fine. If you don't believe me, come see how -- [ and conveniently cut off by a sneeze. ]
I'm simultaneously confused and grossed out. You need to lay down. And stop talking.
Nonsense, Jack. It's not all that shocking. It was barely a sneeze. Look, I'm still walking! [ aaannnnndd now he's not because irony has him flopping down at that very moment. ]
Well, at least he laid down. ...Doctor? Doctor-
[woops time to cut that recording off]
(ooc: blue is jack, purple is the doctor)

So it doesn't happen too often. Don't let me mislead -- you.
[ hey yeah, smile, because rhyming definitely seems to be less strong now! ]
action
I'm glad. I'd hope you wouldn't have to do anything like that just because you're purple and rhyming poorly. [Teasing!]
action
What's wrong with my rhyming?
I think it's been great!
Look, I'll show you now.
One, two, three, marmalade.
-- oh, alright, it wasn't quite the perfect rhyme. And no, nothing like this would warrant the use of regeneration! I hope. [ doctor look you said some full sentences. no rhyming! ]
action
If we're lucky, maybe this is a sign that your illness won't last very long.
action
If your water tribe dish can help speed it up,
it'd be really appreciated.
Speaking of, how long's it been?
Are you sure they won't be overheated?
action
Maybe it'll feel like time passes by faster if we find something interesting to talk about. [AAAAAND... drawing a blank.]
action
Yue, tell me more about your home? [ it is an attempt? ]
action
Oh, well... it's very beautiful. I already told you that all of our buildings are made out of ice, but that doesn't really do them any justice. Almost everything has been shaped and sculpted with waterbending. It's like... it's almost like living in a work of art.
I really wish I could show you, someday.
action
It sounds beautiful. If we ever get the chance to leave -[ half sniffle from the sickness and half from being sad over the TARDIS being missing still!! ] - I'll be sure to give it a visit. Although, what exactly is waterbending?
action
But what you said before... how could you come visit if you were sent home? [Because he sure isn't from her world.]
action
If I was sent back, I'd end up right back in my ship. Wouldn't be too hard from there, I suppose.
action
I'm not sure I understand. If we're not from the same world, how would a ship help you get over to the Northern Water Tribe? [Someone is thinking of boat-ships.]
action
Well, it wouldn't be too hard. I might have to toggle with the zig-zag plotter some, but it's been to plenty of other worlds before. [ clarification not happening rn nope ]
action
action
-- and course it does. It makes perfect sense. [ he will sick ramble at her until it does anyways ]
action
[Okay, she's going to get up to check on the sea prunes.]
It doesn't make sense, though, unless your boat can somehow travel to other worlds. [Same thing as a ship right. RIGHT?]
action
[ but he sits up, looking all ready to eat some sea prunes aww yes ]
Who said anything about a boat?
action
Giving the stew a taste... ooh! Lovely. At least to her, anyway.]
But as far as bending goes... there are benders in every part of the world, and the origins of differ for every kind. The first waterbenders learned how to do it by watching how the moon pushed and pulled the tides. Bending isn't unknown, but I suppose it would be easier for a bender to explain what bending feels like? Since they're the ones who can actually do it. [Time to start serving food, aw yeah.]
Anyway, stewed sea prunes are a bit of an acquired taste for anyone not originally from the Water Tribes, but I hope you enjoy them.
action
Learned by watching the moon's gravitational force pull the tides though, that's different. Good different. Interesting different. Still doesn't explain how they managed to evolve the ability themselves, but to know that there's an origin and everything is very, very cool.
And yeah, bring on the sea prunes. I'm purple right now. I think I can handle a bit of eccentric food.
action
I hope so. [In regards to handling the sea prunes, she means.] But... you fly around in a ship that's... in space. And it allows you to travel to other worlds?
How many have you been to?
action
also hey, he likes the sea prunes! ]
Crunchy, yet moist. Interesting texture, but not what I'd been expecting at all!
