[The video feed comes on to reveal Peter sitting in his own suite, pushing a hand through his hair as he gets settled into his seat. His hair's starting to grow back into that messy, floppy mode, which is obvious by the way it's sticking up randomly at every angle possible and how he keeps trying to find efficient ways to shove it out of his eyes. It also makes him look even younger than he is. Which won't be helping his case here at all.

Then he clears his throat.]

Um. Hi again, everybody.

Not to take up too much of anyone's time, since I'm sure you guys are all, y'know, busy in one way or another. But I was just wondering if- I kind of need a job. Nothing major or anything, but just something, I dunno… steady.

I'm pretty good with tech and with chemicals… computer programming, web design… [He fidgets a little.] Retail? Working a cashier- Seriously, anything. Would be pretty awesome. Seriously.

Anything come to mind…?

[He goes quiet for a moment, studying him. Best guess, Peter stepped on another landmine. But it doesn't seem to make sense that it'd be over the Jamesons. Okay, Aunt May, maybe. But not the Jamesons.]

[He wants nothing more than to hang up right now, the only thing stopping him is the knowledge that if he does, Peter would just undoubtedly pop up at his suite minutes later.]

Stark can barely take care of himself. [If the newspapers are anything to go by. Or Civil War. Or him setting up the events that put Norman Osborn in charge of the country in a recolored Iron Man suit.]

Well- Okay, maybe not, but dude. He is the CEO of a major tech company that's, y'know, thrived for like, forever. He's gotta know how to run his business, at least.

[Personal life and work life and superhero life were all different things. Right? Right. At least that's what Peter believes.]

And just how many people work for that company again? You don't honestly think this guy's been keeping his company afloat single-handedly.

No, but--- That's beside the point. What's so wrong about working for him here? In not New York?

If he can't take care of himself there, what makes you think he can take care of himself here? [Come on, Peter, you're supposed to be smart.]

Well, here there's… Not quite as many crazies gunning for him. [ Or me, for that matter. ]

Dude, come on. He's Tony Stark.

[Sighs. Why was he bothering?]

Do whatever you want, Parker. I have no say in your life.

[He falls silent for a moment, gaze dropping toward his lap.]

… I swear I'll be fine. I can take care of myself. And- If it makes you feel any better, I'll even keep an eye on Tony.
