nerdylilspidey: (pretty sure this is for science)

[The video feed comes on to reveal Peter sitting in his own suite, pushing a hand through his hair as he gets settled into his seat. His hair's starting to grow back into that messy, floppy mode, which is obvious by the way it's sticking up randomly at every angle possible and how he keeps trying to find efficient ways to shove it out of his eyes. It also makes him look even younger than he is. Which won't be helping his case here at all.

Then he clears his throat.]

Um.
Hi again, everybody.

Not to take up too much of anyone's time, since I'm sure you guys are all, y'know, busy in one way or another. But I was just wondering if- I kind of need a job. Nothing major or anything, but just something, I dunno… steady.

I'm pretty good with tech and with chemicals… computer programming, web design… [He fidgets a little.] Retail? Working a cashier- Seriously, anything. Would be pretty awesome. Seriously.

Anything come to mind…?

There better be. You'd think with all the multiversal shenanigans and meeting doubles of everyone I know all the time we could have landed in alterna-Brooklyn sometime. They don't have real pizza here, do they?

Bah. Though I guess if you can't even get decent pizza outside the city, why would you in another universe?

Yeah, Chicago-style would be okay. Barring better options.

A deep dish is nice once in a while, but not the same.

I'd try and just make some, but pizza is more magic than science.

Mr. Howlett made a rule that I had to shut up about it. They don't even have pizza in his universe. I can see how that'd be disheartening.

They're, like, magic Victorians or something. And I haven't been anywhere with freakin' pizza. There's no pizza in space whales or weird Egypt.

I know. They should inderdimensionally snatch the guy who owns Di Fara.

Maybe there's someone you can put in a request with.

And it seems like it'd be even more complicated right now. Just guessing.

That said, I've gotten in fights with some gods and absolute rulers of planets and stuff, so I'm otherwise cool with that.

And they pretty much always suck, too. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, or however that goes.
