[Oh right. The people can hear her. Sarah takes a deep breath and gets to talking.]

I uh, gotta say, this is some real crazy stuff going on. I don't even know where to start makin' sense of any of it. The Kedan people, the ones that work here? I think they work here. Live here? I dunno. They explained a lot of stuff but I'm still trying to wrap my head around even being here.

[Sarah pauses. When she speaks again it's with a little less certainty.]

Do they ever make mistakes with who they bring here? I'm not sure I'm the monster fighting type.

[Not real ones anyway.]

There are a lot of clothing stores in Earth sector. That's where I live. It's the place with all the stone sculptures.

But, still, it seems like there are a lot of people here willing to fight. Maybe they'll be enough to make up for mistakes like us.

[Sorry Ellie, Sarah's just going to lean a little towards the screen and then... back away. She frowns a bit. For all she knows this is important, it's kinda confusing too.]

[Sarah might be from the start of the outbreak, but she really doesn't know much about it.]

Now that you say it, I'm kinda starving.

[It's been a big day and there's so much to think about still.]

I guess with everything that's been happening I just didn't realize it until now.

[She'll just be digging out that pamphlet the Kedan gave her.]

[Okay yeah, Tess only sort of vaguely noticed that at first, probably because she's pretty used to people wearing dirty, bloody clothes all the time, but the amount of blood on what Sarah's wearing might be a little off-putting to kedan shop owners.]

Uh. I might have something - it'd be pretty big - wait, have you talked to Ellie? She, uh. She also knows your dad, she's... close to your age, I think.

[Sarah nods.]

Yeah, she and I have talked a little, but not much.

I gotta say, it's... strange, meeting all these people that know him from so far away.

Yeah. For some reason, I'm immune.

[she hides her bite, pulling her sleeve back down]

But I know if others knew-- they'd... probably not understand. Maybe here is different, but not back home.

How about I come to you and bring you some food? We can talk more.

Yeah, I - I'm sorry, I can imagine how tough this must be for you.

[She has an inkling, at least - she knows there's a gap of months, between her own death and the point at which Ellie arrived, which means there's a relatively big chunk of time that she's just not aware of, which is really disconcerting. And that is only maybe six months. Tess can't even imagine what twenty years would feel like.]

That's good. I'm glad you're okay.

[She means every word, even if understanding the depth of what's been said is still being worked out. If she's immune, then maybe others are, and that's definitely a plus.]

[Sarah smiles and she means it. She's a little uneasy, but if Ellie knows her dad and her dad trusts Ellie, then Sarah should give her a shot too, right?]

I'm in the wood sector. We could meet outside maybe? There's gotta be a few places to eat in the area.

[She knows you mean well, Julie, or she really hopes, but now that it's been brought to her attention, bringing a stranger to your house without checking them out a bit first just feels like a bad idea.]

[she takes the encryption off, now that all that's been said and done. She didn't want to have it said there over the network, but it's worth it]

It's okay. You... Mean a lot to Joel. I'm sure he'd want me to, I dunno, look after you while we're here. Hell, he'd probably want us to be friends. So, I'll help you out. I've been surviving here for awhile.

And it isn't that hard, you know. Just gotta keep track of this money stuff, and if you don't, there are ways to get money and food. Don't sweat it.

_{[ Give Bro a moment and he also puts his device on video. Looks like he is seated in a cafe some place. It doesn't look like a typical set up of one of the suites.
He looks somewhere in his late twenties / early thirties with a scruff of a goatee on his chin. The most interesting feature was the pair of pointed glasses that completely shaded out his eyes, along with the spiky, flaxen hair that tufted out form under a gray baseball cap.

Looks like he's wearing a tan leather jacket and a black polo. Nothing ninj-alike. ]}

Now we're even.

[Sarah takes a few seconds to do nothing but stare. That really wasn't what she expected, both in appearance and voice. Then she grins and with a giggle, nods her head.]

Gotta say, I did not see that coming. But yeaaah, I'll take that as even.

[It's got to be weird meeting her as well. Especially if what she remembers happening actually did happen.]

I just... wish he was here, you know? This wouldn't be so scary if he was.

So do I, kid.

[Tess really, really does. This is one hell of a place, maybe a place for a second chance, but he has to be here first. And damn, she misses him.]

I'm sure he'll be along sooner or later.

[Sarah follows suits with the encryption, glad that the console is one thing she actually seems to understand in this mess.

Hearing that Ellie's willing to help her out makes Sarah smile.]

Thanks! I really mean it. You've already helped a whole lot and I wanna return the favor if I can. Even without my old man bein' a part of it.

[Once she adjusts to what's going on, that is. She likes Ellie well enough, and it's nice to have some familiar ground.]

One thing though, the uh... Kedan people? They were sayin' stuff about a job. Uhh... what do I do there? How do you go about money?
