( diana is seated at one of the consoles in a café when the video feed begins. it seems she’s already gone a bit native—there’s a kedan-style cloak draped around her shoulders, apparently all she needs to keep warm. still, the glint of gold from her armor is perfectly visible, as is the tiara set amongst her dark curls. she’s making no pretense of who she is, should anyone be able to recognize her.

she lifts a hand in simple greeting, smiling. she’s perfectly calm, though anyone who knows her well can probably sense just a bit of tension in the set of her shoulders, the way her eyes are focused. )

There’s many of you here that I know. And many more that I do not.

My name is Diana, and while I’m newly arrived I believe I’ve gotten most of the basics of the situation. It seems you’ve all been busy, recently.

( there’s nothing mocking about her words, and her smile is genuine and honest. she pauses, for a moment, as though to give her audience a breather. then, she continues— )

I’m sure there’s a lot to be done, and I’m willing to offer my assistance to anyone who should need it. But first, I would like to be better acquainted with all of you. If we’ve met before, I’m sure you’ll come and say hello. And if we haven’t, it’s never too soon for introductions.

( both before and after this broadcast and subsequent conversations, diana will be flying over the same café. in effect, she’s using herself as a beacon. feel free to run into her in person if you’d prefer. )

[Homesickness aside, but he doesn't think it's fair to complain when people have been taken longer than him.] Anyway if you got questions that the Kedan didn't answer I can try to help! I don't know everything, but whatever I know I'll let you know. This place isn't too freaky once you get use to it - not that I need to tell you, you've probably been to crazier places right?

You can answer a question for me, if you'd like. Am I right to think that you're familiar with me, or the Justice League?

[He chuckles a little, both amused and nervous.]

Well sure I am. Anyone would know who you and the Justice League are - you're Earth's greatest heroes! You guys are everywhere from stores to history books.

That's kind of you to say. _{( although she knows not everyone views the league favorably, she feels honestly gratified when people do appreciate what they try to do. )}

But I've heard we're not a universal constant, as it were.

[The League isn't perfect, far from it, but he can respect how they all come together for one common goal. Even if he's on as a part-timer, because, well, Batman life.]

Yeah, well, those universes suck. [JUST SAYIN'] Not too sure how many people recognize the League here, but I don't think I'm the only one anyway.

[Well, ok, he knows he isn't the only one, but he has to maintain some cover. Good thing he's relatively normal aside from wearing a batsuit at night.]

It seems quite a few members of the League itself are here. I wouldn't know the number of civilians, however.

I couldn't tell you either. But along with Foreigners like us and the Kedan, I'd say the civ count is pretty up there. Keeliai is still just one city though and a small part of the turtle.

Have you seen the rest of the turtle?

Not really, but there's not much outside of the city to see. Mainly wastelands and then there's the palace, but that's about it.
