( diana is seated at one of the consoles in a café when the video feed begins. it seems she’s already gone a bit native—there’s a kedan-style cloak draped around her shoulders, apparently all she needs to keep warm. still, the glint of gold from her armor is perfectly visible, as is the tiara set amongst her dark curls. she’s making no pretense of who she is, should anyone be able to recognize her.

she lifts a hand in simple greeting, smiling. she’s perfectly calm, though anyone who knows her well can probably sense just a bit of tension in the set of her shoulders, the way her eyes are focused. )

There’s many of you here that I know. And many more that I do not.

My name is Diana, and while I’m newly arrived I believe I’ve gotten most of the basics of the situation. It seems you’ve all been busy, recently.

( there’s nothing mocking about her words, and her smile is genuine and honest. she pauses, for a moment, as though to give her audience a breather. then, she continues— )

I’m sure there’s a lot to be done, and I’m willing to offer my assistance to anyone who should need it. But first, I would like to be better acquainted with all of you. If we’ve met before, I’m sure you’ll come and say hello. And if we haven’t, it’s never too soon for introductions.

( both before and after this broadcast and subsequent conversations, diana will be flying over the same café. in effect, she’s using herself as a beacon. feel free to run into her in person if you’d prefer. )

This morning. <sub>( and it's been a frantic few hours, and more than a little bit of an infodump. but she's gotten her bearings, and she thinks she's beginning to have something of a grasp on this place.

Have you been alright here? For all that time?

[Bristling at the question, Bart nods. It isn't so much that someone asked him how he's been, but something in the way it's phrased makes him wonder if it's a surprise that he's been able to feed himself.]

Yeah. I'm good. 'sides, it's not like I'm the only one here. There's been other Titans. [Specifically using Titans rather than Teen Titans fluff the ranks out a bit - right now, he's one of only two Teen Titans on the turtle that remembers it.] Flash is here too. A few other League members.

_{( she can sense that she's made him uncomfortable, but she doesn't really have a moment to analyze why that is. maybe he thinks she's coddling him? she's trying to be as normal as she can with the people she knows to be gone, in her timeline, but maybe something's getting lost in translation. but in any case she moves on quickly, nodding as bart lists the names and groups. )}

I've already made contact with a few of them. There's only one Flash here, correct? _{( she's already pulling up a mental list of leaguers, and she hasn't heard anything about wally just yet. )}

Right now. Yeah. [Wally has been here, and he might not have been old enough to be the Flash. Bart can't help but count him.]

There's loads of people from other universes. And other things. Some dragons. There was a talking unicorn for awhile. Haven't heard from her in awhile. She might be gone.

[He shrugs at this.] And it's not all cool people either. You missed the serial killer shrink. And Lex Luthor and Max Lord.

_{( her face darkens at the mention of max. she doesn't regret what she did to him--stands by the fact that it was the only option--but she does regret that it had to happen. )}

And when you say gone, you mean they've left the island entirely?

[Bart nods at this. He doesn't take the scowl personally - everyone saw the news coverage. He shouldn't have mentioned Lord. It slipped out, and he's sorry for it.]

Their souls have. I don't know if anyone knows what happens to the body. Me, I don't wanna know. It's bad enough knowing that this isn't really mine. I try to forget about it.
