And, well, that the room behind her isn't the same as it used to be; it's still an Earth Sector suite, just a different building than her previous residence.]

I hope everyone and their possessions escaped the fire unscathed. And if anyone needs help for any reason, please don't hesitate to ask.

[a beat, and then she gestures to the room behind her] Aside from that, I just wanted to let you all know I've got a new address, since my suite is - pretty much gone, and in order to, well, not dwell on the fact a whole bunch of my stuff is now ash, I'm throwing a bit of a housewarming party.

You might've noticed this is video is filtered and encrypted, and that's 'cause I don't really want just anyone showing up at my new suite, so I'm keeping things to people I know and who're around my age. Which is, all of you. [a smile! Doesn't everyone feel lucky to be included] That said, if you have a friend you'd like to bring along, just run their name by me and I'm sure it'll be fine.

Otherwise, party, booze, food, dancing. Two nights from now, starting at sunset and ending whenever you all go home, there's no dress code aside from, you know, actually having clothes on, and while I'll have enough food and drinks for everyone, you're welcome to bring your to share if you're that sort of person. [She pauses to think over whether there's anything she needs to say, but, no, she's sure that's covered everything]

That's kind of you, Stephanie. After everything that's been happening recently, a small celebration would certainly be a good way to take everyone's mind off things.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. It'll be nice for everyone to take a night to kick back and relax.

Do you think you'll join us? [she imagines that Yue probably isn't used to the sort of parties Steph is. Maybe she should warn her?]

I can bring some food or drinks. Is there anything that's...typical for these sorts of celebrations?

Thanks. [Steph's smile is bright, she's glad Yelena is going to come] For food, the general rule is to stick to things that are easy to eat with your hands, so no one has to worry about plates and cutlery and washing up.

For drinks, you can bring some alcohol if you want, or just some soda or juice. [Things you can put alcohol in, essentially, because Steph's not letting anyone drink kenda-alcohol straight]

You better be.

I'd like to, though I'm not sure what to really expect. [Yeah, there's the stuff Steph mentioned, but honestly there will probably be more to it and just that. Plus... well, different cultures. What Yue expects from a party and what Stephanie expects are probably two very different things.]

What, and pass up a chance to see you getting naked and swimming in a fountain? Yeah right.

I never said I'd be drinking.

I think it'll be pretty low key, if only becaus there's not all that many of us. There'll be music, so we can dance and maybe a few drinking games if people wanna play some. Other than that it'll probably just be chilling out with food and alcohol, I'm not gonna let things get too out of hand.

sorry for worrying you! i was staying at a friend's so i avoided most of the mess. i'm glad you're okay, too.

if you want to bring some easy snack food (chips, crackers/dip, that sort of thing) you're more than welcome, but don't feel like you need to.

[Steph gives Nita a curious frown over the screen. But she's sure there is a perfectly logical reason for this request]
