Radio Network Broadcast
Hey, everyone. It's the Turtle Tower Power Hour, brought to you by the Brazen Turtle and the Kent News Network. My name is Stiles, I'm your host for tonight's event.
But before we begin. I've been asked by a fellow "Foreigner" to bring up a subject that's a little...well. Touchy. Maybe even a little macabre. It's the elephant in the room, discussed by a lot of us, but with no real resolution. It sucks, bottom line, and I think all of us here have been affected by it.
It's the subject of being sent back to our home dimensions. Our home worlds.
Since Eshai's death at the end of December, just a few days before Christmas, we've had a grand total of thirty-four of us simply up and disappear. And the number being brought in is...roughly equivalent, yeah. A net loss overall, though. That's nearly six people going out per week. And in the time I've taken to research who they were, what their impact was on Keelai...there's no common thread. Nothing to link them. They were young and old, powerful and baseline, intelligent and...well, otherwise. They were kind, and they were cruel. They were people.
And I'd like to read off their names.
The first one to go home, the day of the murder, was Jonah Kinlock. He was followed by Rose Tyler. Willow Rosenberg. Peeta Mellark. Barry Allen. Santo Vaccarro. Hikaru Shidou. Olivia Dunham. Robert and Rosalind Lutece. Miranda Lawson. Rodimus Prime. Arnold Rimmer.
[He snorts with laughter for a second, because he is a teenage boy.]
Leonardo. Dorian Gray. Tim Drake. Gentarou Kisaragi. Raven. Peter Quill.
...Hannibal Lecter. Yes. He counts.
Ororo Monroe. Cecil Gershwin Palmer. ...Allison Argent. Jane Foster. The Archive. ...Loki Laufeyson. Raleigh Becket. Orion Pax. Bryn Zethir. Victor Borkowski. Dick Grayson.
...Isaac Lahey. Karkat Vantas. And Rory Williams.
Again, these are only the people sent home in the last six weeks. I know we've all lost more than just this short list, in the random and incomprehensible crap going on in this place. We may never find out exactly what's happening here, how the magic works, or the cloning process, or whatever BS explanation we're given this month. I don't claim to know how it all works. I have my hypotheses, but discussing them seems to give people headaches for some reason.
What I do know is that we're all here. Here and now. We can gripe and moan...or we can start to do something about it all. And I know I'd rather be active in this than just sit around with my thumb up my...ahem. Sorry. Sometimes I forget I'm on the radio and everybody can hear me.
So take a moment. Tonight. Now. Find somebody who you like to be around, and tell them that. Be with a friend, a family member, a loved one. Take an hour and talk to them. Tell them important things. Unimportant things. Talk to them. Give 'em a hug. And remember why we're all here.
That's all. Tonight's show will begin in five minutes. Thanks.
((OOC: This is being broadcast over Clark Kent's radio system. Any discussion taking place will be on the network. Thanks! The actual radio show post will go up in the logs comm tomorrow.))

Look, seriously, I was really careful with my research. Two of my friends from home are on that list, and my best friend was sent home before that. Not to mention all the other friends I made since I got here.
I'm sorry it came across as a funeral or something. I really didn't mean it like that. But the number of people being sent home has gone up. Which means something's going on. Which means maybe we should be paying attention to it. Regardless of who it offends.

I'm sorry about your friends going home.

Again. I'm sorry it came across that way.
But honestly, they're people. They're not numbers, they're not statistics, and treating them that way only fuels the fire for...I don't know. Our unnameable enemy. I won't apologize for naming names. But I am sorry one of your friends is on that list too.
[Because it's so, so freakin' obvious.]

[Bart had almost thrown in a 'Titans together'. Old habits die hard.]
It's over the top. And it was more than one.

Anything else? You want fries with that?

[Bart can't think of anything else to shoot back. Nothing that isn't circling back around or falling apart into name-calling. He understands that Stiles is trying to be helpful and encouraging and all that, but he's been nervous about the 'getting sent back' element since Eshai was murdered. Coupling it with the disappearance of his grandfather has made it a topic that he's been actively avoiding.
With a deep frown, Bart abruptly cuts the feed.]
