Let me do that again with more words. OK. See, my birthday's February 1st, and I'm kinda glad I didn't realize it was coming up? Because then I didn't have to think about how it's a little gross to have it be here, and now I get why a friend of mine didn't want a party when his hit in the summer. It's just... weird without everyone here. I don't mind the holidays though, they're cool.

[ Jack automatically opens his mouth to wish Bart a happy birthday when he wisely decides to listen to the rest of the explanation. Jack has a similar habit of speaking without having all the facts, much as he tries to rein it in. He seems a little pensive when Bart explains that he finds the idea of a birthday unwelcome without everyone he knows present; it's not a sentiment Jack shares but then, he doesn't have a birthday so perhaps he'd feel different if he were actually celebrating it. ]
