[It has been a very interesting two months for Aya thus far. The young not-so-Artificial Intelligence has already learned so much. About Keelai. About the multiverse. About her fellow Foreign "visitors" and, perhaps most importantly, about herself. And how little she actually knows about herself, and the circumstances surrounding her apparent unique creation.]

[Which is what brings her to the Network for a third time. Her eyes are shining with their usual curiosity, although this time, they are enhanced by a certain...hesitation behind them. An uncertainty that emphasizes her surprisingly (and deceptively) young age.]

There is something I am curious about. As your localized Network System appears to be the best place to make such public inquiries, I have chosen to make mine here as well.

[Somehow, when she preempts with this rather innocent statement, it sounds like she's apologizing for wasting everyone's time. Despite the importance to her, personally.]

I have had several conversations regarding...memories. In particular, those that people are able to access, and those they are not. It has been drawn to my attention that, upon departing from this world, any and all memories of this place are to be deleted from one's memory banks without fail. [She is not okay with this, of course, and yet this is still not the main focus of her post.] It has also been drawn to my attention that there are certain memories in which the majority of organic beings are capable of retaining as well as forgetting.

I was programmed to never forget. And yet...I have been made aware that there are certain events which must have occurred in my life that I cannot remember. I find this both curious and disconcerting. Which is why I must ask:

Is it common for one to possess no memories of the circumstances surrounding one's birth?

More so, I am also curious as to precisely what kinds of memories everyone appears to retain best.

Who needs names for people like us? [His way of saying...they don't actually have a specific name.] But we're not human. We kind of watch over them instead.

[Unfortunately for him, Aya has this habit of taking most sentences at face value.]

I would require a name so that I may know how to classify one such as yourself.

I'm Prussia! That's the only name that matters.

I am not from, nor have I ever been, to Sector 2814, let alone the planet designated Earth. I was originally created in Sector 0, on the Guardian planet Oa.

So you're an alien. Why didn't you just say that? [Says the guy who is very earth-centric.] What the hell is a Guardian? Another kind of alien--alien to Earth, whatever.

The Guardians are from Oa, which is not Earth. I do not understand what part of that sentence was not apparent.

I met some guy who said he lived in space but he was an Earthling before that, so it never hurts to double check! They could have been some earth colony in space or whatever. [Really the idea of humans being all over space is weird enough. Aliens are a take right out of science fiction.]

Besides who calls themselves "The Guardians"? Makes them sound like some fancy club of knights not a species of people in outer space. Do they have armor and ride around on space horses? [Does space have horses?]

They call themselves The Guardians because that is their name, just as Aya is my name. It is also what they do; the Guardians created the Green Lantern Corps specifically to guard and protect each and every sector of Guardians Space.

...I do not believe they ride on "space" mammals of any species, no.

Of course it's their name, but everyone gets their name somehow. It's not like you pop up one day and you know exactly what you're name is and not where it came from. You've gotta get it from somewhere.

I bet you got the name Aya somehow, right?

Well, yes.

It is what Hal Jordan decided to call me shortly after we first met.

My point exactly! My boss gave me my name after I became a duchy. Everybody gets their name somehow. So who gave them a boring name like "The Guardians"?

I am not certain.

The Guardians have existed for millennia before I was ever created. They are said to be the first intelligent life in the known universe.

[That is just too ridiculous. If they were first, who made them? How can they even prove they were there before everyone else?]
