I hope those displaced from the Earth Sector fire have found a place to stay until the suites can be rebuilt or new homes. Fortunately, it looks as if the damage was contained before it spread too far. I think this situation is exactly the sort of thing a council for us ‘foreigners’ would be good for, and I mean in the sense of checking the damages, injuries, and helping people find temporary lodgings.

[Not necessarily hunting down perpetrators. And she has her suspicions on what might have started it, but that is not going out publicly. So on a different note!]

Though we can all understand the spoken word and each other here, I’ve found that’s not the case with the written. I’ve started making efforts to crack the kedan language, as it were, but there’s very little to help along these lines. Picking up words on signs is one thing, but a grasp of the grammar and structure is another.

Has anyone else been trying to do the same? I’m not sure much more will be possible unless we find the kedan version of a Rosetta Stone, to be honest.

I've lost some of my clothes in the fire. I thought I'd come to you about replacements before hitting the local markets, so it's a bit of old and new, really.

[Favrielle can't help but look momentarily distressed at the news.]

I'm sorry to hear it. Were those I made for you earlier also--yes, must have been. What has been lost exactly? I can replace the items I had made in little time, and depending on the complexity of the new items, I can have them in short order as well.

Only one of the shirts you've made was burned. I wasn't at my suite at the time of the fire, and I had the rest with me, so they were spared, thankfully.

I've lost all the local attire I've acquired here - day clothes, nightwear but one, undergarments, etc. I'm looking for more of what you've already done for me, but really, I'm open to other styles at this point as well.

[Favrielle feels for her loss, really, she does, but the prospect of making replacements for all of what Peggy mentions pleases her. She isn't as in demand in Keeliai as she was back home, and Peggy reminds her a bit of home so, yes, she's pleased to make more things for her.]

I see. The shirt can be easily replaced, if you'll tell me which color one it was, and as for the rest, I still have your measurements so all we would need to do is discuss the style of the other day clothes, undergarments, and nightwear you require.

[She taps her chin thoughtfully.]

You might consider some outerwear as well.

The cream colored one. But thank you - I do appreciate this. [Even if it's still a business transaction] Something I know I would like, I think, is a pair of pants. Similar to home. I can have someone sketch it out, if you'd like.

Outerwear? Like a coat or shawl?

Sketches always do well in place of actual examples. You're not the first to request pants, of course, so that should be no great difficulty.

And yes, coats, shawls, whatever you're comfortable with. I imagine the weather will grow colder as we get into the winter months, unless it's terribly different here..

I'll do that then. There's a particular style I've in mind.

[But she nods] I've been so preoccupied, that the change of weather has completely slipped my mind. Yes, I think I would be interested in that. A coat, probably.
