[Ellie clicks on the console. While those who don't know her might think she looks like a normal 14 year old, those that do know her can tell she's trying to distract herself.

She rubs her nose as she ponders how to start this, before thinking that maybe she should even just cut the feed off. But, hell, she made it this far.

Her arm is bandaged up in a rough sling-- something she did herself.]

Sooo... I guess we can talk about what the fuck just happened, or we can talk about something better. Like, okay, I've had some of the kedan read to me?

Guys, guys. Their stories are fucking hilarious. I'm not even sure how someone gets engaged 12 times on accident, but there's a story for that.

And there's a story about the guy who had a huge case of mistaken identity, and owed a stupid amount of debt because someone pretended to be him when gambling.

... And a huge amount of these end up being romance stories.

Don't even fucking ask me.

[she shrugs and offers a little grin]

I asked if there was any stuff about someone pissing off a monster, or going to outer space, but nope. Nothing. Nada.

How fucking weird is that?

So you just get picked up to go on random space adventures. Who's your friend? Is he like Jim and Spock?

[Clara bites her lip for and is silent for a bit when Ellie mentions Jim and Spock.]

No. He's a bit more... independent. Not part of a Fleet or anything like that.

[she notices that and raises her eyebrows, but she can't NOT pry about this new friend]

So how does he travel through space? And why every Wednesday and sometimes Sunday?

Because I work a job and can't go galavanting into space without any rhyme or reason.

[Her friend my have the ship but it's clear she runs it. She cocks her head.]

In a spaceship, he's an alien. Though his ship definitely doesn't look like any spaceship anyone's ever put on the telly or in films.

[she leans in closer, Ellie is asking the Real Questions]

Hrm. [It is a bit difficult to explain this one to Americas, she's found. So she indicates with her hands a box shaped form.]

D'you know what a phone booth is? It's a bit like that. A little blue box. It was used in the sixties to contact the police in the United Kingdom but people stopped using them quite sometime ago. But-[She leans closer with a grin.] It's smaller on the outside than it is on the inside. The inside is infinitely huge. Has a library, a swimming pool, anything you can imagine.

[There's a part of her that hates talking about the Doctor but at the same time, it's almost cathartic.]

[Ellie only vaguely understands what a phone booth is-- she's seen a few abandoned in Boston, Salt Lake City, and Pittsburgh. But that there were different designs had totally escaped her]

It has to be different than the ones I've seen-- those things were all made of glass, or had nothing around them at all.

Crazy, though. How's it bigger on the inside than on the outside? Magic?

This one's blue and made of wood and the phone is on the outside. It's a bit complicated. Like I said, no one uses them any more. So it's like his weird personal snogbox.

[Then she blinks and tilts her head thoughtfully.]

I'm not sure. I think it's just... like that. It doesn't really look like a phone booth. It was a disguise the ship used to fit in when the Doctor first came to earth but it got stuck like that. The outside actually really looks different.

So it’s a disguise the ship got stuck in… Are ships like that common, or is his one of a kind? What kind of places did you go see when he came and picked you up?

[Ellie almost felt bad for the rapid fire questioning. Almost.]

Most other spaceships are more... as you'd expect. Big engines, made of metal, like that. The TARDIS is special. And a bit rude too. We used to not get on.

[Clara cocks her head in thought but she's grinning. She's always had to keep the Doctor a secret, so it's nice to be able to talk about her travels.]</small. So many places. I've been to famous planets, the moon, one planet that was basically a giant amusement park.

A planet that was an amusement park... How was that? I mean... Amusement parks don't really exist back home. And they have a whole fucking mess of infected there.

[she shrugs, trying to imagine the roller coaster for a moment]

Was it really fun?

It was fun. I took the kids, I used to be a nanny, out and they rode the rides. Personally, I'm not one for roller coasters. Tends to end with me getting sick on the person next to me.

[Still, she feels a little sad that Ellie had never been to such a place. Going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters were part of being a kid.]

Maybe if he shows up with the TARDIS, we can make a stop there. Take you along.

You think he wouldn't mind?

[she rests her chin on the palm of her good hand]

'Cause that sounds amazing, seriously. The most I've gotten to do is... well, one time, we flipped the power on at the mall, and rode the old carousel til it broke.

Which wasn't that long, but it was better than nothing.

Definitely not. Besides, he hasn't got a choice because I'm going to tell him he has to.

[Then she speaks again, like she's had a sudden thought.]

You ever been sledding on a turtle? We might still be able to find a bit of ice. Or I can have some made.

I’ve never been on the turtle, but Korra did this cool thing last time we hit land. Do you know her?

[can’t hurt to check before she goes on about the sledding adventure with Korra, after all. Needless to say, she was quite impressed with waterbenders, at least]

Yeah, I know Korra.

Nice girl. She does the all the... water stuff.

[Clara waves a hand to indicate that she means waterbending.]

Yeah, waterbending! It put almost everything I've ever done to shame.

Yeah.

[Or at least everything she can do just as herself. When you have a time machine at your disposal, its a bit of an advantage.]

Me neither. I like it though… But I like the idea of sledding, too. But how are you gonna get some ice? Isn’t it a little too warm for that right now?
