It has been brought to my attention that my choice of vocabulary and diction is considered...unnecessarily formal by some.

I have made several attempts to alter my speech patterns, but have realized that I still lack a more concise understanding of what precisely entails formal versus familiar speech.  Therefore, I am seeking any an all information regarding more colloquial expressions or terms that may be used in everyday conversation, which I will do my best to learn and subsequently employ accordingly.

Technically speaking, you are correct.

However, I would much prefer in-person conversation. For one, it is more secure. I have not included an encryption on this conversation, and some of what I must speak with you is highly confidential.

My scanners can detect rings that are within a general vicinity. Not an exact location, or who they are with at any given time.

I can detect three active rings at this time. This is not congruent with recent findings, unless there is data I have not been given.

It IS your ring, yes. It is also your responsibility. The oath you swore when you claimed the ring means that you are not just fighting for yourself, Hal Jordan. You are fighting to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

To throw it away with such carelessness, and then claim that such an action is nobody's business but your own...it is disappointing.
