I have made several attempts to alter my speech patterns, but have realized that I still lack a more concise understanding of what precisely entails formal versus familiar speech. I said that you will not emotionally compromise me. Because you are correct. People have spoken to me in such a manner before. They have made the same assumptions you seem pleased to perpetuate. They did not win then, and you will not win now.
