[Elizabeth appears on the screen, her bright blue eyes wide and filled with tears. She says nothing, but holds up a sign. It simply reads:
Pavel Chekov Has Gone Home.
It's not even in her normal, flowing handwriting. Instead, it's on tear-stained paper, her letters simple.
Pavel Chekov has gone home. Leaving her here alone. No goodbye, no nothing. No hope of joining him in Space or on the Moon or anything. Nothing at all.
It's the first time she's ever experienced loss. At least, loss of this magnitude.
She shuts off the feed, having no intentions of sitting around to write down platitudes. If you need her, she'll be in her bedroom.]
