[ophelia's watching something offscreen, her chin in one hand, her expression ... inscrutable. there's a ghost somewhere around, judging from the sound of it - trying to finish building her already-finished apartment.

there's another ghost grumbling in the background, passing in and out of view, ignoring everything else. she doesn't seem to be bothered by either. actually, she seems a little irritated.]

... I've made more interesting ghosts than this.

[she sighs, aggravated.]

Someone tell me there's better ones around here somewhere.

Well, something's rattling around in there, anyway. I'm used to the idea of spirits being a little more-- um.

I prefer mine corporeal. Way more interesting, though yours sounds like a lot of fun.

Think you can talk it out of the oven?

Isn't the point of a ghost to be non-corporeal? I haven't encountered many.

[Or... any, really. But she has heard stories.]

I'm not sure. Do you have any suggestions?

There's ghosts a little more solid than this. They can do things that are more ... interesting than just rattling things around.

[she considers. how do you get a ghost out of an oven?]

Yell at it, maybe. Or give it something else to haunt. [she shrugs.] Or break the oven. It might leave, or it might just haunt the pieces. You'll never know until you try.

[Come on, you aren't getting off that easily, girl. And then her tone shifts to amused.]

I'm not going to yell at my oven, Ophelia. I'd upset the neighbours. I could take it apart, though... would you like to come over and give me a hand?

Really interacting with the world, instead of just pushing it around. Channeling lightning through themselves to electrocute your enemies. Those kinds of 'things'.

If you'd like. I can pull things apart myself, but I can't say it'll be easy to put back together.

That would depend - what do you consider 'more interesting' - appearance? Behavior?

The restless dead should be more vengeful than this.

You may have to go out of your suite for those.

And dig them up personally? Or are there actually dangerous ones roaming the streets?

Most of those on the streets are harmless. A few will try things slightly less - friendly.
