[The person on the console screen looks shockingly like Sokka. Have you ever seen Sokka before in person? Then it's pretty easy to tell that the person on the screen actually is Sokka. He's got Sokka's eyes, Sokka's skin colour, and a somewhat similar style of hair given that there's still something like a small swish of hair at the top of his head.

[Except, he doesn't look exactly like Sokka. Unlike the Water Tribe warrior, his hair is slightly different—worn down instead of strictly pulled back. He's sporting a rather large moustache and a rather glorious beard. He's sporting the colour red instead of the colour blue, even if his clothes is somewhat makeshift. And above all else, he doesn't sound like Sokka. The man is talking with a rather posh and sophisticated accent and a pitch that's at least an octave or two lower than Sokka's normal voice.

[But it's still Sokka. Though perhaps if one hasn't seen him before, he might be mistaken for someone completely new.]

Greetings and salutations, my dear citizens of the Shell.

My name is Fire. Wang Fire! Sophisticated gentleman and trained psychotherapist, at your service. [He twirls his moustache with his right hand, as if to add embellishment to the declaration.]

It's come to my attention that, of late, there's been quite the rumblings of frustration on the account of a good many people that I've had the pleasure of making acquaintances of. And why ought it not to be the case? The Shell has changed so dramatically over the past few weeks, almost to no one's general preference. And so it's with this in mind that I've decided, as a most magnanimous gesture, to offer my services to you all.

Should you perhaps need someone to talk to about matters of the mind or the heart, you might find me around the Midnight Hotel, where I'm currently staying. If you can't find me around, just ask around reception. They'll be able to summon me to your side in a jiffy.

[Well "want" is a strong word. "is accustomed to" is a better way to put it. But Arno's fine with learning!]

With my lame attempts?

[And then he's grinning at the "weird twin"]

Ha! You're good at this!
And she said learning was hard.

Leaning can be many things
that help the skilled.

I think you've done goofed

[Said as he inadvertently adds a sixth syllable to his last line.]

[Arno finds himself laughing and pressing a palm to his forehead rather slowly, as he reads his over again, going over the words with emphasis and fingers, and then shakes his head at Wang Fire, there.]

Why so you truly
are the master of such art
my admiration.

[There's a slight incline of Arno's head.]

[And so it shall never be known that Sokka made his own mistake. Dodged a poetical bullet there.]

Thank you, thank you, [he says, not bothering to continue the pretence of trying to keep up the haiku form.] I take to most of the artistic forms like a fish to water, so I'm glad it shows.

[Yeah, just have him draw a picture for you one day.]

[Yeah, Arno's more inclined to just...go with the supposed master of the form on this one. Someday that may or may not prove to be a mistake. but well. For now, he's simply applauding and shaking his head a bit.]

Really? Oh now I must see other examples. Drama?

[Technically, he's showing you one right now. Not that you can get him to admit it. That would be a most grave insult to his thespian side.]

Well, I do fancy myself a rather skilled artist as well!

[Oh, indeed. Arno would NEVER...Well, probably eventually.]

Do you now? I would very much like to see your work sometime.

Perhaps one of these days after I have completed a masterpiece. I am afraid I have not had the time to properly commemorate an occasion here with an illustration, nor have I managed to bring any of my previous works with me!

Have you not? Oh that IS a shame. Arno's managing, mostly, to sound sincere, and not laugh. It's difficult but he's managing.] It IS odd, what travels here with us, I'll admit.

Why do you say that? Did you happen to travel here alongside your pet dolphin piranha?

Dolphin Piranha? [There's a long blink.]

Sadly, nothing like that. I DO wish my favorite weapon had been able to make the trip here, but... [Shrug.]

Forget it. It is merely a rather vicious creature from my world. A joke, if you will!

But I can understand that wish. Thankfully both of my favourite weapons made the journey with me to this world. I am forever thankful that they crossed over. A pity for you.

Ah, I see. Dangerous creature pets COULD be nice.

I always DID want a wolf for some reason. I don't think they have those here. I DO know of people who own monkeys and extremely foul mouthed birds.

It's funny. I got a few others but...it WOULD be that one I miss the most.

I can't seem to say that I would want any of those pets for my own.

Perhaps you may find a substitute for it while you are here? I have yet to test the kedansmiths' weaponry, though I am sure they might be able to sell you something, though not for free, I am afraid.

Free? No I doubt that they do much that IS free here. Perhaps the accusing commentary I hear them whispering could be said to be free... I COULD take a look, of course.

In practice, most pets like that WOULD be more trouble than they're worth. The monkeys seem to be the worst. They throw things and rip off their clothing in public and just...

I will never understand that.

Oh, by good sir, I suppose that they could provide you more free things beyond whispering. Untoward gazes and rather louder commentary, for others.

Hmm, I would find it weird that your monkeys wore clothing, though in my experience I have seen one pet bear more than content to wear clothing. Most odd, most odd.

Untoward gazes do have their places in the ranking, I suppose. I was not under the impression the kedan traded those with foreigners these days. More IS the pity, [This is added with a completely full of himself look, carefully cultivated.] Some of the ladies ARE rather pretty.

It really rather is...pet bears, though? And where are they housed? Surely not with the families they are owned by?

Ah, I was not meaning that sense of untoward, my apologies, good sir. I simply meant that they are ill-disposed to give pleasantries to us these days. Though I suppose I am pleased enough on my own that they don't give "untoward" looks to me.

[After all, ~~Sokka~~ Wang Fire has a girl back home.]

Oh this pet bear... [Wang Fire chuckles a bit as he presses his fingertips together,] he's a unique creature. The only bear I happen to know of, you might say. He lives with a king I know... and when I say he lives with the king, I mean this in every sense of the term. I have never seen the two separated for more than an hour perhaps. A quite tame beast, much tamer than the bear-like creatures I have encountered.

Ah the UN-Parisian sense of untoward. How will I live with myself and the knowledge? [That said, he raises an eyebrow at the assertion. He has one too, and yet...]

I don't know, it can be fun, girls at home or not. Tropical Islands are so romantic when everyone's against you.

[At the mention of 'king' everything becomes clearer. Royalty never had much sense, did they?]

A king! Well, no wonder. Our queen at home has some unique ideas and pets. I think she means to be the richest, best dressed milkmaid in all the land. Where DO they get their notions?

I suppose you will just have to find a way to live. It would be a shame to die here, so far from home.

[Yeah, Arno. No overdramatising of things here.]

But as for me, I've no interest in the local aroma of the lovely flowers when I have one just as sweet back home, waiting for my return no doubt!

[But Sokka can't help but laugh when it comes to discussion of royalty. If they weren't insane and sadistic like the Fire Lord, they did seem to have some iota of cluelessness about them, didn't they?]

Well, I have one idea about where the royalty get such sense of fashion. You might say they're just milking the system.

Alas, I may have to become...productive! An awful fate for the idle, if nothing else apears. I've a jewel of a woman at home, myself. Elise...

[ He looks wistful for a momsnt, just a moment, though.]

Maybe I look because I miss her company...and ability to kick me into shape when I need it. Women are so good at tht sort of thing.

You don't have to tell me about such things. I have a sister of my own, and I am very well assured she can kick me into shape if she deems it necessary.

But productivity... perhaps is a good industry for us.

And I would hope that I'm one of a kind. I'm the only Wang Fire I know!
