[ there are quite a few things akito would like to address, but just the thought of trying to find the right words for it all is exhausting. so he keeps it simple, and focuses on what he wants to ask the most: ]

Should I leave the signed contract back at the front desk, then?

[It seemed almost unnecessary to specify, except...she wanted to make sure that Bird didn't go hunting her down. Midii had grown accustomed to living in close quarters with several individuals. And she had grown up with three little brothers. Which meant that, while she could deal with having her privacy invaded when necessary...she also selfishly enjoyed having her space to herself, uninterrupted.]

[It didn't matter. He trusted her enough to be willing to make a contract. In a language she could read. He could have just as easily turned her down and pushed on in spite of his illness.]
