[Tommy looks restless when he pops up on screen, and like he's had a few rough couple of days. He's sort of been very scarce to everyone who knows him too, and it's about time he resurfaces now there's new places to explore.]

What do sailors say when they see land? Land-ho, right?

I can't wait to get off this stupid turtle and stretch my legs. Anybody wanna come explore strange new lands with me or you losers just gonna stay on the raft?

I know I sure as hell ain't. If you guys think you can keep up with me, we should hang or whatever.

[He wants to go exploring but it's boring on his own. And maybe Kate will offer having forgotten their stupid argument when they were drunk. You never know.]

No duh. [Maybe slight truth to that, but only when he really needs to. He tries to offer favours in exchange. Most of the time.]

[Kal scoffs, but pretends he fully buys it. A guy who looks so much like Billy can't be all that bad.]

I'd like to get a name from you, son. Are you related to Kaplan, by chance?

[So he knows Billy. He wrinkles his nose up a little. He's not about to give his name out.]

I don't got a name either, dude.

[A pause.] Yeah. He's my stupid sort-of-twin-brother.

I'm Superman, and it's nice to meet you.

[He raises an eyebrow] He didn't seem stupid to me.

Superman, huh?

[He eyes him.]

I'm Tommy. Tommy Shepherd. And are you kidding? He's a massive nerd.

[At least he isn't laughing...] That's what they call me.

[That makes him smile, though.] Nerd... that I could see, maybe. He was really nice to me though.

If we're going codenames, mine's Speed.

[He pauses, rolling his eyes.] He's too nice for his own good.

Speed. [He tilts his head.] I like it, straight to the point.

[Because obviously you needed his approval, didn't you Tommy?]

He did try to help me even though I'd only talked to him once, but he didn't seem like he'd do anything too stupid to me. Then again I'm not the best judge of character sometimes.

[He grins a little. He wasn't looking for approval. But hey.]

Oh believe me. He's a goes-to-the-stronghold-of-a-huge-supervillain-all-on-his-own-and-ends-up-needing-rescuing kind of idiot.

[Kal tries not to smirk at that, but it isn't easy.]

As opposed to the jumps-into-the-chance-to-fight-against-monsters-in-an-unknown-land kind of idiot?

[he opens his mouth and then shuts it again.]

Well, for the record, he's going too. And I prefer 'adventurer'.

But please don't take this as a game. An adventure, sure- and it can be fun, but keep in mind if the Kedan are scared about what's out there there has to be a reason.

The kedan don't have my moves, so duh they'd be scared.

[Gosh Superman chill out.] I'll be fine. It's not like this is my first 'adventure'. I'm a superhero y'know.

[He lets out a soft laugh, amused. He reminds him a little of Wally when he was younger (is it a speedster thing?).

He knows pushing the subject will only make things worse though, so he simply nods.] Alright then, I'll trust you to make good use of that experience you have.

[he seems smug that the subject has been dropped.]

Damn right.
