Okay, so...I have an idea.

[Fair warning, at this moment, it was a fairly terrible plan.  And almost certainly won't work.  Unless it does.]

Remember that Vision we all had a couple of days ago?  [Rhetorical question.  Of course they did.]  Well, it got me thinking.  What if Tu Vishan really is still alive, only...trapped?  Buried within his own mind so deep that he wasn't able to reach out to us until we went looking for him.

So let's look.  Magically, I mean.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that...if you have any magical abilities whatsoever, would you be down to try something with me?  It's not too dangerous.  Probably.

Minus the itchy robes, of course. Unless somebody thought they were being clever and tossed some itching powder into a rival's suit. But that almost never happens anymore.

I'm fairly certain it wasn't itching powder, just an overly-starched collar on an overly formal robe. We couldn't even get out of wearing them most times. Tradition and whatnot.

Anyway, this magic you're working on. What would you need people to do?

[Again, with the specifics. Though, admittedly, with so many people asking her in such a short amount of time, it was giving her brain a chance to think.]

That depends. Some people are going to be there to help focus the spell. Others are going to provide a little extra power to help us control it. Others...it's up to them.

How good are you at mystic energy detection?

"Mystic energy detection," eh? Not... not really my thing. I'm an Elemental. I can read the air and tell you how many people are nearby and whether they're moving, but if you want to know if someone's used magic, that's best left to Skulduggery and his rainbow dust.

It is. Changes colors depending on what sort of magic was used.

Anyway, I'd like to tag along. Even if my sort of magic doesn't really work with your spell, maybe you could use an extra pair of hands. Or eyes.

[Reminded her of a mood ring. Only more magical. Still, it wasn't the first she had heard of people applying certain colors to auras. Kind of like a magical synesthesia.]

Can't think of a reason to say 'no'. There's at least one other people coming along to play bodyguard, if nothing else. Some of us might end up in a trance if we need to search deeply enough. Having someone on the outside watching our bodies could be a plus.
