Remember that Vision we all had a couple of days ago?  [Rhetorical question.  Of course they did.]  Well, it got me thinking.  What if Tu Vishan really is still alive, only...trapped?  Buried within his own mind so deep that he wasn't able to reach out to us until we went looking for him.

So let's look.  Magically, I mean.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that...if you have any magical abilities whatsoever, would you be down to try something with me?  It's not too dangerous.  Probably.

Are you sure that's safe? [Relationship jokes aside, she raised a curious eyebrow.] I mean, not that I'd be willing to turn down the extra help, but...it's not worth it if whoever ends up with a magic artifact specific to your world can't wield it properly.

... The use of 'his sword' complicates things. It is actually mine, but I retrieved it after what he last remembers. I gave directions to him, I can do so for another. [ It's also not actually his, he stole it a decade prior, but he actually knows how to use the thing. ]

Although yes, a test to see if another could make use of it would be needed...

[She wasn't going to volunteer herself, of course; if she was going to be the central focus of the group circle, she couldn't worry about trying to control another person's artifact on top of everything else.]

I would maybe want to work that out before we all get together in a day or so. What do you think?

Not particularly. But it is good to know.

Unfortunately, most of this...we won't actually know if it works until we try it. It's a legitimate spell where I come from, but there are so many different worlds with so many different rules on how magic works.

... I haven't tested that either. I know how to direct the gathered power into a spell of the same sort of magic, and I am fairly certain it is 'directed power', rather than aligned with anything in particular.
