I sort of can't really imagine the term - either cliche or gay, actually [it's totally the fault of hanging out with Favrielle that saying the word doesn't make him stammer, okay?] - applicable to John Wayne movies...?

Okay, so like... back in your day cowboy movies were the Big Thing, right? And then it became this entire genre and it was always the same thing - cowboys, vengeance, Clint Eastwood, the whole nine yards. And by now everybody knows that a cowboy story basically starts out like. There's this dark and shadowy man of few words, and suddenly he needs to get revenge or whatever, and it ends in a shoot-out at noon and that's a wrap.

But a few years ago in my time there was this cowboy movie about-- you know. A couple of guys being gay and it blew people's minds because cowboys are this super macho subculture and how dare they be gay or whatever, so there you have it.
