[ sure, he's just woken up. but he's still super groggy and his brain and body feel all foggy like they tend to when you wake up in the wrong part of your sleep cycle. it also doesn't help that he has no clue where the heck he fell asleep beyond 'in a tree somewhere' which is more than a little bit disorienting.

I was thinking surveillance would be good... Get an idea of their strength and methods, then react accordingly?
[ he doesn't sound entirely sure of himself, which is slightly out of character for him. mostly it's because he's sleepy - and he sounds it, given that he has to stifle a yawn.
