 [Today's network broadcast comes in the wake of recent discussions, combined with the recollection of those past.  An uncertainty finally overshadowed by curiosity.]

It has been suggested to me on multiple occasions, to consider the idea of amplifying my current maximum output through...magical means.

[Still hesitant to speak the 'm' word after all this time.  Not for a lack of belief, or any distain.  Magic would simply be an area she could never scientifically quantify, and thus, was left to the mercy of those who responded.]

I wish to learn more from who might possess knowledge in this area.  Or experience.  [Preferably experience.]

[Ooh! That's interesting. Ven's... not a magic expert on the same level as Aqua, but as he chimes in, he's got his chin cupped in his hand and the other hand drumming against the keyboard.]

Hmm... Well, when you say maximum output, are you talking about your power? Your strength? Something else? I'm sure there's some kinda spell that can help you, but it depends on what you need.

It is a combination of several things. My power would be increased, yes, which would allow me to exhibit a superior strength, memory processing speed, and even allow for larger, wider-ranged constructs.

[It did help that she had experience with this sort of thing happening before, albeit from a known source: Blue Lantern Rings.]

Well, I know there's spells that can slow people down and make 'em super small, so there's gotta be a way to do the opposite. About the best I've got are some healing spells, and I don't think that's what you're looking for...

Healing is not currently required; I am not injured in any way.

Hmm... D'you think electric spells could give you some kinda super charge?

[It's just a thought. Probably not the most practical one.]

[Aya opened her mouth to immediately reply that she did not run on electricity...exactly...when she gave pause. And thought about it some more. Magic was so unscientific an area, that it would be wrong to immediately rule something ambiguous out without prior experimentation.]

[She knew she was not injured. She did not know if magic electricity would or wouldn't affect her.]

I...do not know.

Well, we could always give it a try-- I'd just have to be careful, 'cause I'd hate to hurt you! Or... well, I guess I could try experimenting first. I've made some pretty crazy commands before, and there's gotta be something safer to test 'em on first...

[But what? For a moment, he peeks down at the Keyboard, then turns to eyeball one of the lights on the ceiling. There's definitely machinery around, but he probably shouldn't mess with stuff that isn't his...]

Is there anything you've used before to power up? Maybe I can use that as a starting point, too...

If you are concerned about any physical damage, I can assure you that I do not feel pain.

[Emotional pain, yes, but otherwise, she had literally been ripped limb from limb in the past and felt nothing. One of the perks of being a wallflower robot.]

But can you feel anything? Like temperatures, or the ground, or anything like that?

I can discern certain tactile sensations, such as pressure, and accurately measure both my internal as well as the external temperature of my immediate surroundings, yes.

[There was a difference between not having the neurological receptors that would normally register as pain, versus not feeling anything at all.]

Huh... That's good, 'cause I can't imagine how it'd feel if you couldn't at least feel that sorta stuff. Wouldn't it be tough to move around?

[Not being able to feel even the presence of other objects just sounds... strange. Maybe even scary. Thank goodness that doesn't apply to her!]

I do not recall having significant difficulty previously.

Whoa, wait. You've actually experienced stuff like that? And it wasn't even a little weird?

Not really, no.

[You wouldn't believe her if she told you.]

It was the state I was first created in. Having a physical form was what initially felt--as you described it--weird.

[Though nothing she couldn't adjust to easily enough.]

Wow... So what changed? I mean, there must've been some reason you got a body, right? Unless you just woke up one day and you could move around... I guess stranger things have happened.

[Then again, Ven's experienced worlds with talking ducks, mice, and... whatever Pete is. Plus, he's met aliens. He's ready to accept just about any oddities.]

I was informed that having a physical form with which to interact and move about was essential to becoming a Green Lantern. So I used several spare ship parts to construct myself this body.
