Princess Yue hasn't been seen for several days, and while doubtless that she had garnered enough affection from the other foreigners that you would likely seek her out. I believe our princess is in another world.

It's not that I expect us to pull answers out of thing air, but I would be lying if I said I didn't find the resigned glibness that plagues our numbers disquieting.

We are many and varied; the only conclusions we've reached is that we don't know when the next person comes. Or goes.

Again I ask what you'd have us do instead, then. We ask as many questions to the Emperor as we can, plenty of us have tried to find a way out only to find themselves pass out and fall into the water again.

It's frustrating, yes- but acting like trying to actually live in this place while we must stay in here is simply unfair.

At no point have I alleged that I had an alternative. Whether or not we get off out this place is academic when we have so little to go on. My concern was that the disinterest in our fate has started to become common place.

It's not so much disinterest as people doing whatever they can to stay alive, even when it means adapting. We'll slowly figure things out and we're slowly getting all the information we can but making people feel bad for surviving is kind of counter-productive.

While there is no denying efforts being made, I was merely voicing a concern. Not a condemnation. Slow progress is to be expected, but you can't blame some of us buckling under the uncertainty of the situation.
