The Rebellion's only a few years in as far as I know. You must be from the same time as Rey and Ren, which is the future to me. By your uniform, I'd guess you're a pilot?

I heard from someone that the Rebellion took my family's crest as their own symbol after I invaded the Death Star. Something about it being a "symbol of hope". I doubt Leia talks a lot about how the Rebellion started, since it was so long ago for you.

Anakin Skywalker is here as well, so yes, time from our own universe seems not to mean a lot

Before the Alliance was formally organized, Vader invaded the planet they met on to sign the declaration. Took them hostage to wipe them out all at once. I went to the Death Star to rescue them.

I pity him. Ren, I mean. He stinks of the Dark Side, but like a lot of Sith, he's been manipulated into it. I'm hoping that with time, being separated from his Master will get him to see that.

It was worth a try. Juno was pretty important to the Alliance, so I just wondered if she might've ended up an Admiral or something like that. She'd deserve it.

That's...historical. I know that not many like to talk about the old times but It's a shame I haven't heard from you before.

Well, my part in the formation of the Alliance was a pretty closely held secret. Before the Alliance, I was a Sith Assassin. Something like that getting out would be pretty bad for the Alliance's reputation.

Ren's a work in progress. I know he's not going to change overnight, but I've been in his position before. It can be hard to leave something if it's all you've ever known.

I'll tell you all about it sometime. She was an amazing person. Worth starting a war over.

It's still unfortunate that your contribution went unnoticed.

He murdered a whole village of innocent people, women and children included, and then burned it to the ground because they refused to give him something he wanted. He's also part of a military group that built a planet-sized weapon of mass destruction powered by suns that blew up the entirely Hosnian system in one go. I'd say that he's a bit more than a work in progress.

[Sorry for the salty reply, Marek, but Ren's a touchy subject for Poe. He's not even listing the thing the man did to him because it's only a only a drop in the ocean.]

It was never about the recognition. All I wanted was to do right by a Galaxy I had a hand in corrupting as a Sith. Atonement, I guess.

All Sith do horrible things. I corrupted the planet Felucia and slaughtered hundreds of it's native sapient species, before killing a Jedi Master for Vader. That doesn't make a Sith like Ren any less deserving of...not forgiveness, but pity. But I understand how you feel.

It's a good motivation and a better option than improvement or death. You can't help people and fix your mistakes from the grave.

I've seen plenty people die. Friends, family...no one is untouched when it comes to war. And I know there is no good answer about the subject either. In the eyes of the First Order, I am a murderer.

[Poe is not naive, he's very aware of the choices he makes when he gets into his x-wing. But what determines the morality of a human action is the intention of the doer, he wouldn't fight if he could protect people in any other way.]

No, I think it makes you human. We all want to be with our loved ones. You were a Sith, was she the reason you changed?
