[The feed shows a man in his early thirties wearing a bright orange pilot suit, with some bruises in his forehead and cheekbones. Poe is not new to myriad sorts of alien creatures but beings living on a giant turtle and between reality planes is a whole new level of 'special'. That said, he had taken the news surprisingly well and now is giving the camera a smile.]
It's been a long time since I had vacations - over a decade, probably. Please, someone tell me this much cold is not the norm here. I'm having flashbacks of a mission I had in Hoth years ago and I actually would like to keep all my fingers intact.
I'm also looking for a friend, we seem to be losing each other a lot lately...It's an astromech droid, a white an orange BB unit. It's terribly cute and it knows it. If you happen to see it, I'd appreciate a call.
[The rest of the message is changed from video to text, and written specifically in Aurebesh.]
Hello. This is Poe Dameron, callsign: Black Leader.
I might as well find out if there’s someone else here from home. The Galaxy is not as much of a big place as it looks like.
If you can read this, please let me know.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Poe Dameron. You may call me Aya.
["A.I"...a. Get it?
Don't worry, even Kilowog called Hal out on that one.]Free will.... [Her construct brows furrowed ever so slightly. It was such an organic gesture, evident of the fact that her face was not quite so metallic as a majority of her physical frame.] ...my creator did not think so. I was scheduled for destruction once she had decided that I had grown too unpredictable in my evolution.
But I do not have a Master. Only a commanding officer...who is not here at this time.
Re: video
Aya it is then, the pleasure is all mine.
[Hal is such a great comedian.
No, he isn't.Her explanation has him frowning slightly, Poe is one of those people who values life, no matter its origin.]
That's...awful. Shouldn't evolve be a good thing? I always thought that the more we know the better, people can only grow with change.
Understood, thanks.
video
That is my belief as well.
I have learned much through example since first being brought online. The ability to grow and adapt is what separates a true artificial intelligence from that of a mere machine.
video
I'm glad that we agree.
True. There's so much to see and experience out there, so much to learn...that's one of the reasons why I like flying. Is there anything you enjoy doing more than anything else int he world?
I think you would like BB-8 if you could meet it.
video
I do enjoy flying as well. [Though she means flying-flying. Not...necessarily in a space craft.] I have also taken up a hobby since I have been here. Tell me...are you familiar with knitting?
[This was literally Tony Stark--though not the one here, a previous, older Tony Stark--Cassie Lang, and Kyle Rayner's faults. Ah, memories.]
video
Poe cheers up visible at that, even if he's thinking about piloting.]
Ah, someone after my own heart. It's something else, isn't it? Being up there. It makes the rest of the world seems smaller, especially the problems.
And yes, I know. I learned the basics but I am terrible at it, I can sew but knitting is beyond my abilities, I just don't have enough patience or talent for it. But if you like mismatched mittens, I'm your man.
[Ey, it's a good hobby! Useful too if you can't get new clothes very often.]
video
I am inclined to...differ in opinion, regarding problems. Though my precision maneuvering abilities have, in fact, proved an ideal solution in the past, flying itself has never directly brought me any ease of mine during an ongoing dilemna.
If you were prefer to learn born about knitting, I would be happy to teach you. Once you are capable of understanding the basic geometric structure of your intended pattern, the rest is not difficult.
video
That's fine, people finds comfort in different place. Sorry it doesn't work for you. Flying for me it's a bit like...going home. I know it might sound silly. Do you have anything else that helps you when you feel troubled?
If you are sure you wouldn't mind teaching me, I'd like that. [He brightens at the offer.] But I don't have anything to give you in exchange. What if I teach you something too? Do you know how to dance?
video
[But what are the chances of that happening here?]
When I am troubled...I have found that conversing with like-minded individuals is an ideal solution. The subject does not always have to be about what troubles me. There are times when their understanding presence has proved...ameliorating enough.
[For a supposed "emotionless" robot, she was quite empathetic at times.]
...dance?
Re: video
Talking is always good. If you ever need to chat with someone or share stories feel free to contact me.
Dancing is, uhm, moving your body when music is playing. Really fun.
video
[Pepper introduced her to that one.]
video
video
I was only recently introduced to the hobby. It sounds...quite interesting. As does your dancing.
video
So, what do you say? Deal?
video
I can think of no logical reason not to accept, so...deal.
video
I'm still learning how this whole city works and trying to remember everything, as well as find a place to stay and get a job but...as long as things are a bit more settled I'll contact you again.
video
I will...look forward to our next conversation, in that case.
[And all the future knitting and dancing lessons.
And flying maybe]video
[It will be great and very educational
all them flying :U]Take care in the meantime, Aya.
