Y'know, this is a pretty nice city, and I really appreciate the hospitality and all... y'know, apart from the weird stares and stuff, but...

[A man is on your consoles, Keelial. He's dressed mostly in grey and black, an amicable smile on his face.]

...don't let me intrude any more than I need to. I need to get outta here, and I'm going to get outta here. So... If anyone'd like to help me, I need to find somewhere I can build stuff. Anywhere, really, and someone who's familiar with the tech I'm gonna be working with.

Good luck, man. If there's a way out of this that doesn't involve magic or like...some sort of new-age drug trip, I haven't found it yet.

Not that I know of, no. I've been most everywhere on the back of this damn turtle, and haven't found anything. Though I can admit that I haven't really been in much of a hurry to leave, since I'm a corpse back home.

I said the same thing when I first got here. Trying to figure out the angles, who was behind it and everything. This is kinda one of those thing that you just have to ride out. From what I've heard, people leave here without warning, supposedly going back right where they left off, wherever they came from.

Waiting ain't an option for me. And, personally, anyone telling me to "be patient" or "let it ride out" isn't worth my time.

[She nods, brow furrowed as she sits there deep in thought.]

So what is it like... a teleporter? Or a magic portal or one of those cool warp things they have on spaceships that make you jump from the ship to the planet or wherever?

[Her phrasing might be a little weird and some ideas a little farfetched, but her line of questioning seems serious. The kid really is thinking this through and plotting out all the options she can think of.]

Well, I don't know that until I build it.

[He's smiling slightly, though. He doesn't mind the questions.]

That said, you might find it harder than you first think. Things have a habit of...being different here, than what you'd expect.

I work at the College as well as do my own work on the side. I can give you an overview, if you'd like.

[there's a muffled, 'just a moment-!', the sound of some things moving around- and then it opens, Robert wiping a little bit of sweat from his brow before offering his other hand to shake]

[He takes the professor's hand, smiling quick and easy.]

[And he follows, stepping into the lab.]

80's and with a man who considered Betamax to be a viable video storage medium, he's not too spoiled in terms of labs.

Well, you haven't tried to convince me that the Turtle is a magical place and I shouldn't try to escape because it's impossible yet.
