[She's already lost Tektite without warning, and while the other Gem had been the last connection she'd had to home, she hadn't really cared for her much. But if Shay's gone, really gone...she has nobody. Shay's her only friend.]

Have you tried him on his radio? I haven't seen him in a while, either. If he went sailing, he should've had a small crew, we could try looking for them, too.

I tried...maybe he's just out of range, right? He's got to be.

Maybe... I could go see if I can locate the Morrigan from the air but... [This feels wrong.] When was the last time you saw him or the ship?

Had he demonstrated violent behavior again prior to his departure?

[Aya recalled the last time they had this conversation.]

No, he was helping with the riot. He had some kind of protection, I think.

[looksfine]

Are you speaking of another coming to his aid, or an ability beyond those of your average individual?

[It was a relevant question, because it would tell her which line to pursue next. Whether there was someone who might have more insight into his latest disappearance, or if there were some supernatural possibility.]

No, some kind of...thing he was wearing. I couldn't see him very well, he was far away, and then I was in the middle of it. But I saw some other police officers wearing things to protect themselves.

[She thought for a moment of her experience with the law enforcement individuals.]

Ah, you are referring to the protective synthetic fibers designed at absorbing the impact of several high-projectile weaponry that could be used against them?

Knowing him? He probably took off to clear his head. That whole riot thing was pretty intense.

I guess. He hasn't had good experiences with Dust.

[shirley_templar]

I can't imagine anyone's had a good experience with that stuff. I stayed pretty much on the edge of the fighting and still got my ass kicked. Shay was right in the middle of it.

I'd say give him a few days. If we had another ship I could go looking for him, but I doubt that the Aquila came here with me.

[peridiot]

[Peridot squirms a little, since Shay's bad experience with Dust was her fault.]

Do you think he's okay?

I think so. He had a mask on, and was advising everyone else who came to put something over their mouth and nose to protect themselves. From what I can remember, he's dealt with weird gases and stuff back home, so he knew what he was getting into when he ran into the Dust.
