Quicker than the assailant can process Sherlock grabs the hand with the knife and spins so that his own body is blocking the knife from Conan. He uses his free arm to throw his elbow into the ribcage of the attacker in order to get him to drop the child. ]
[ Once Conan is out of harm's way he twists his body and just manages to throw the attacker on the ground over his shoulder. ]
