So, assuming I got my months right, we just started a new year!
It's a big cultural celebration where I come from.
Does anyone have plans? I was thinking of trying to make a party. We usually celebrate on the first New Moon of the year.

It's mostly too late, anyway.
The traditions I remember back home mostly revolved around counting down the last ten seconds of the old year while the ball drops in Times' Square, and then kissing someone to welcome in the new year. And I'm kind of out of people to kiss right now, so I don't mind missing out on that part.

Well, I hope it'll be fun all the same, then.

I don't see why it can't be.
I don't need to kiss anyone to have a good time. It was always just an added bonus.

[ She idly wonders if there's anyone here she'd think about trying to get a new years kiss with. The list is depressingly short and full of 'probably not's. She pushes the idea out of her head. ]
Well, I guess I have some planning to do! Thanks for the supportive words!

Yeah, sure. Anytime.
Don't forget to send an invitation my way when you've got a set date for that party.
