[handset | video] one love, one life (backdated to 3/5 or so)

[The video flips on to show Erskine, gorgeous as always, and actually not looking dog-tired for once! In fact, he's smiling. This is possibly the happiest Erskine has looked on the network while sober.

...which probably has to do with the attractive redhead hovering in the background. Those who've seen Erskine's echo stone will recognize Hopeless. Those who haven't might recognize the man Erskine's been attached at the hip to for the last couple of weeks.]

Right, hello everyone. So, Hopeless had a question--

[The redhead in the background scoffs gently.]

Alright, we had a question. How old are all you Foreigners out there? We're interested in age demographics. You can be vague if you like, and you don't have to answer of course.

And in the spirit of sharing, I... missed my last birthday. It was in February. Which I suppose makes me 409 now.

[He does indeed.]

That sounds about the same as non-magical humans in my world.

[At least that's an easy enough comparison, compared to some of the responses. Unless --]

Lifespan aside, are humans in your world -- or yourself and your demographic group particularly -- augmented in any manner? Especially related to brain functions?

[ She gives that a few moments thought before answering. ]

Not usually, no. Not legally, at least. There are... well, there are always rumours. Underworld experiments on grafting mechanical parts to people, that sort of thing. But that's a more physical than mental intent to... change.

I see.

[So chances are she's an ordinary human, as he knows them -- at least as far as physiology goes. That leaves life experiences.]

If I may -- back to your comment about living circumstances. You mentioned Columbia; are you talking about one on Earth?
