Weird question, but has anyone else been contacted by any of the kedan out of nowhere? Asking about your work, or anything like that?

[Technically the saying goes 'two is a coincidence, three is a pattern,' but any scientist knows that sample size is dependent on the question being investigated. In this case, Tony thinks that n=2 is significant.]

I don't either. I'm, uh... not very good with this stuff.

[Translation: for a genius, he can be amazingly clueless. Subtlety and subterfuge, not his forte.]

Usually I wait for people to start shooting rockets at me to know who's on which team. [And even then, he sometimes still gets it wrong!]

[It's okay, buddy, he doesn't really get it, either. That's too high a social level for him. ]

Normally I just keep out of the way and see who's shooting at Chat Noir and Ladybug and avoid them.

Tony grins.] That sounds a lot less dangerous than my method. I could wait for people to start shooting at SHIELD, but then Nick Fury might get all the credit. [Tony's pseudo-rivalry with the Director of SHIELD is totally mature and in no way recklessly arrogant.]

So that Chat Noir guy is from your universe?

[Clearly, this is a sign. ]

Well, that would be a waste of perfectly good hard work.

[He smiles and nods. Oh good, ONE PERSON here who hasn't figured it out yet, hooray. ]

He is. Same city, too. I don't know him all that well, but I know he does a lot for Paris.

That's cool. But you guys are from the same universe and you don't hang out at all?

[That's a little odd. Tony always feels like he needs to get to know anyone who's from a universe related to his own. It's like going overseas and meeting another tourist from the same city... okay, bad example in his case, everyone is from New York. But you get the idea.]

I don't think we wants me finding out his secret identity. I'm a little too close to home, you know? The identity thing is pretty important to him.

[Not really. It's becoming less important. But so long as Ladybug is here, who it DOES matter to, a lot, then he will keep playing the dumb card. ]
