[ Waking in a new world was definitely not something Marinette expected to greet her when she opened her eyes. On the plus side, she had her belongings with her - even Tikki, though the kwami seemed very groggy and tired. She reassured Marinette she'd be fine, it wasn't like when she got sick back then, so Marinette let the kwami sleep and devoted her attention to finding out where she was and exactly what was going on. Cut to about...two hours later, when she accesses the network, her mind spinning with the information she'd been given. ]

[ She probably found her way to one of the console cafe's honestly, but she presents herself with a polite smile (if a little bit awkward). ][ She pauses, as something occurs to her. Her first option should have been making her way to that Welcome Center to stay, but she had prioritized getting Tikki some food instinctively. Hopefully it'd help the kwami recover. ]

I'll ... probably be at this cafe for a little bit longer, but I really should have a look around soon too.

[ She'd totally doesn't think anyone from home is here either. She hesitates a moment to consider her topics, and finally settles on one. ]

So, I guess I'll be seeing you all around! If you've got any suggestions of places to take a look at, I'm open to ideas.

[ She needed to get her bearings in this place after all, especially with what's been going on. Once from the ground.. and then once from the air, when Tikki was recovered. Before ending her connection though, she grins and flashes a cheerful V'sign. Peace Out? ... so lame, Marinette. ]

Hrmmm. Landmarks, I think - something easy..ish to identify and find my way around so I don't have to rely on a map. When I get a map. And it wouldn't hurt to find general hotspots for socializing, I guess. [ She could snoop around the more shady areas as Ladybug later, but she was presenting herself as a normal teenager Marinette here. ]

Oh, and somewhere that supplies crafts, like drawing or sewing supplies. ... I guess I have a lot of places to look for.

I guess that depends on which part of the city you're in. All the different sections have things you could call landmarks.

[And Danny was a lot more used to navigating by air. He figured his landmarks wouldn't be that useful. ]

Socializing? [He shrugs.] There's a lot of restaurants and cafes in Central. And stuff happens at the Midnight Hotel sometimes.

[Danny makes a face.] Can't help you with the craft stuff. I usually try to avoid that kind of place.

Ah... hrm. That might be tricky then - I guess it's not going to be as easy to find my way around as I hoped.

[ A puzzle here, does she ask about the 'stuff' or does she ask why he avoids craft places? Wait, was that latter because of a boy thing? ]

What kind of 'stuff'?

Well, there's food there. And a lot of people live there. So there's been a couple of party-type things.

And if you need to find a job, its a good place to work. I work in maintenance over there. You know, handyman stuff.

Ahah, I see what you mean then. I'll have to swing by there too. [ Good thing she's taking mental notes on the various places to check out. ]

Really? I'll keep that in mind - but I think... I might hold off on getting a job for a few days until I know my way around first. I know I'm going to need one but I'd ..kind of like to have something where I can set my own hours. Be my own boss, you know?

[ Something she doesn't have to worry about having to make excuses to dodge work if trouble comes up. Though it was kind of naive to think she'd make enough money to pay for a place right off the bat so maybe a part time job wasn't a bad idea...at least for now. ]

Yeah, I get that. [Oh boy did he get that. It was still weird not running off to fight ghosts at all hours of the day here. ]
