So I was looking at the calendar, and I just realized I've been here more than a year. That's just weird to think about.

I've been here for eight months now... plus as best I can tell, three months before.
So I guess I'm coming up on a year, too, if you're going by totals.

I'm not sure I have a preference on a specific anniversary date...
But let's say tentatively that the first of July will be my first year anniversary, then.
I see enough of these posts, that maybe we should do something more formal. What if we threw a party for these?

Yeah, spontaneous parties haven't actually been a great running record for me, actually.

It becomes a little strange, doesn't it?
I've spent more time in this world than I did knowing some of my closest friends, at home. It's... odd.
Does this call for a 'happy anniversary,' or are you less sanguine about this one?

I'm not sure what sanguine means, but I'm pretty sure Happy Anniversary isn't exactly the right sentiment.

'Sanguine' is used to describe being generally optimistic about something, even and especially when it's something bad or difficult.
You'd prefer to be elsewhere, then, I take it.
