[ Hey, fellow Turtle-dwellers! Have a smiling, yet curious, Sheena appear on your screens. ]
Hello, everyone! Does anyone know if there's a weaponsmith who makes bows? [ Yep. Sheena knows how to use one! ] It's been a while since I've used one, and I'd really like to get back to that.
[ She starts to cut the feed, then stops. ]
And if anyone knows where I can target practice, that would be great!
Thanks!

I use to be pretty good, actually.

[ She chuckles. ]
I'm not sure how good I'd be now. I may be back to "shooting worms".

[ She wasn't familiar with that phrase. ]

Yeah. That's what Sebastian--the one who taught me--called it when the arrows went into the ground instead of the target. He said his grandfather used to say it.
[ She hadn't heard it before her lessons, either, but it's pretty accurate. ]

Does the skill degrade so quickly? [ That didn't make her optimistic about her own capabilities. ]

[ She thinks a moment before shaking her head. ]
If you did for years before stopping, I doubt it. But I had only trained in it for about a year or two. I wasn't taught from childhood.

I thought I tagged this!

For practice, the dojo would be my first choice.

[ She chuckles. ]
I thought of asking Bakura about that, but I don't know if he'd appreciate any holes in his floor or walls.
[ Yeah, she's that out of practice. ]

As for your concerns about the dojo, I'm fairly certain there are outdoor areas set up specifically for various kinds of ranged practice.
no subject
I think it will. They should have something similar to the wood I need, so it shouldn't be too hard.
[ Her expression goes blank before she's facepalming. ]
I'm an idiot. Ironically, I never thought about that--and I basically grew up in a dojo! Probably because we weren't taught archery and used other targets outside for ranged weapons. [ Like trees, or items hanging from trees...
She waves the reason away with her hand. ]
Still, that doesn't excuse me from not realizing I could ask Bakura if he has some kind of archery range.
Thank you again. [ She pauses. ] Do you train at the dojo?
no subject
I believe Bakura's dojo promotes a much, much wider variety of combat training than most would.

Still feel like one, though.
,small>[ She's being good-natured about it, so that's a good sign. ]
I've only been there once, and I really didn't take a look around. I've actually been doing most of my training outside the city.

Re: [Video]
A few days ago. I'm sorry. I should have let you know. Has everything been all right?
Re: [Video]
[Apart from fighting a ghost dragon. ]
[ She knows about one dragon... ]
Re: [Video]
[He shrugs.Back home ghost dragons were just another day. ]
Wait... ]
Dra-gons? As in more than one? [ She knows about Raine... ]
What exactly happened while I was gone?

[She knew what a bow was, of course, which was how she knew it was just as important to ask for specifics as it was for any other desired weapon.]
video
Sheena blinks and smiles in surprise. She hadn't expected the offer. ]
I didn't know you knew how to make bows!
video
I have seen it in action in the form of an energy construct in the past. Creating one for myself would be no hassle at all. However, those who are not Green Lanterns can not successfully wield such energy for long durations of time without a constant supply of energy. As such, it would be better to learn an alternative method.
video
[ She tilts her head. Now why does that sound familiar? Oh yeah! ]
I know someone who used a bow like that--not made from wood or metal, I mean. I think the energy came from him--kind of like my mana does for me. [ She tilts her head. ]
Green Lanterns?
video
An organization I am part of in my universe of origin. Most wield their energy through an external catalyst granted to them by the Guardians of Oa. However, I am unique in that I was born with this energy already a part of my being.
video
Hmmm... You know, that sounds almost like the way mana works on my world. Some people can use magic, and others can't. They direct their mana into their weapons to use what are known as "artes".
And not all artes are the same. I'm guessing it's the same for you? You can make an energy bow, but they all don't look alike?
