Good evening, everyone. My name is Inara Serra, and I have recently found myself a bit out of sorts with my arrival in this strange place. I would cry kidnapping, but I hardly think that is the case.

I was wondering - and hoping - that there might just be someone I know here. Please, if you recognize me, I would greatly appreciate if it you could respond.

Also, if anyone could perhaps explain a bit more about what this place is and how I might have come to be here - and why - I would also be greatly indebted to you.

Everyone has different perspectives. I happen to enjoy the idea that one could be brought here for such a purpose.

I would be inclined to agree, at least a little bit. If anything, at the very least it is a positive way to look at it.

Yes, it's better than reacting with a sense of futility, which I've seen people do. Even if it isn't true, it at least helps me to have something to focus on.

If you don't mind my asking, I'm curious what happened before you were brought here that makes you agree with my theory.

It simply corresponds with how I feel about life in general. I try to make it as positive an experience as I can, and I suppose that means looking at this as an opportunity as opposed to a burden.

Not everyone sees things that way. Most are pretty skeptical of the reason they're even here.

I imagine most would be, to some extent. Being told you are in a place between life and death is a difficult thing to accept.

Yeah, it is. Considering the type of disorientation and confusion people experience when they arrive, I don't blame them when they accept it too readily, either. I was one of those, at first.

Disorientation is a good way to put it. When they fished me out of the water I confess I wasn't exactly in my right mind.

I was in a...stressful situation before I was taken, which didn't help.
