Good evening, everyone. My name is Inara Serra, and I have recently found myself a bit out of sorts with my arrival in this strange place. I would cry kidnapping, but I hardly think that is the case.

I was wondering - and hoping - that there might just be someone I know here. Please, if you recognize me, I would greatly appreciate if it you could respond.

Also, if anyone could perhaps explain a bit more about what this place is and how I might have come to be here - and why - I would also be greatly indebted to you.

You could say that. It helps that my usual forms of entertainment aren't really here-- not in the same capacity as they are back home.

Oh? What were your usual forms of entertainment?

The usual-- video games, TV, hanging out with friends. But I make do.

It has. But it could definitely be worse. Us so-called foreigners are good at looking out for each other.

That's very good to know. I suppose we're all in the same boat - it's best we aren't at odds.

It helps to have a common goal of getting back to our respective worlds.

The kedan are relatively nice too, but I still wouldn't walk around in dark alleys late at night.

Panicking doesn't seem very prudent. It doesn't accomplish anything, not really.

That mindset's going to help you a lot here. Not to alarm you, but it gets kind of weird from time to time. Not that the kedan seem to mind.

Oh? Weird in what way?

A few months back, the city was haunted by ghosts. It wasn't too dangerous-- minus the occasional pot falling off the wall-- but it was definitely weird.

How...interesting. That's not something I've ever experienced.

It was a new experience for me too.

What's weirder is that they just vanished. No explanation why or how.

I'm not sure if I'd be relieved or even more worried. [ seriously. what even. ]

[Sheepishly:] Oh, uh, sorry. There didn't seem to be any lasting effects or anything, so it's nothing to worry about.

Well, that's a relief.

Definitely.

Day-to-day life is relatively peaceful, at least. [To the point where it's kind of eerie.] Half the battle is keeping ourselves occupied.
