Above her heart, if someone looks hard enough, they’ll see a floral tattoo. She tucks a strand of blonde hair behind her ear.] Um, hey. [What now? She rubs her hands over her bare arms, going quiet for a second before taking a deep breath.] So. This seriously happened, huh? Universal kidnapping or whatever it is. You know, I was... I was supposed to be going home finally. I was supposed to be going back to school and picking my life up again and...

[She falls silent again.] Not that anyone actually wants to hear all that, just one more person whining about things. I don’t want to be a whiner. [Yes she does. Fuck all this injustice.]

Anyway. [There’s a bright grin on her face now.] My name’s Vanessa. And I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of the nearest clothing store? Or a mall> I’m, uh... Not really dressed for whatever this is. [She feels really uncomfortable being in her low cut white dress.] That’s what I get for being dressed to go partying, right? [Ahahaha......]
