--oh, shoot. Just how do I work this contraption? I knew I should've asked for specific directions... Is it a phone? Or... something... huh?

[ The feed opens up to one confused looking Avatar with a hand paused mid-scratch at the side of her head. Blink blink. She straightens and attempts to clear her throat a bit, but even doing that does nothing to remove the slightly confused frown on her face. ]

So... Keeliai. [ how does i start conversation to people she isn't even sure she might be speaking to ] It's... a nice looking place, I guess. I have so many questions, but I think I should start off with...

What next? I mean, if anyone's got any helpful suggestions on how to deal with this place, I'd be all for it. Really!

[ Pause. ]

Uh-- oh, right! The name's Korra. It's nice to meet... whoever'll be answering this message. I hope. Ugh.

[ She's making a fool of herself, she knows it. ]

You can call me Yue. The title doesn't really mean much here. [Which calls into question why she still uses it to introduce herself, but there you go.]

I've been here for a little over two weeks, I think.

That long? Asami must've been around the same time as you have. [ So that really means... they are trapped? ]

I think most of the people here arrived around the same time, though I don't know for sure.

[It's kind of funny, in a way.]

Normally two weeks wouldn't seem terribly long, but I suppose it's a long time to be so far from home. [Except this is her home now, or at least, it's what she'll have to settle for. Yue doesn't get to stay with her tribe if she goes home. She'll just... be the Moon.]

So we're really... trapped here, huh? [ She sounds a little downcast herself. She has her duties to consider, darn it! She's the Avatar! Amon's on the rise and she needs to stop him, etc. ]

This place can't be so bad, right? How's it treating you?

[Haha. HAHAHAHAHA well yeah about that.]

The kedan don't seem very happy to have so many of us here. Ten days ago another one of the foreigners and I were captured by them - they were planning on executing us in public as an example to everyone else.

[Yue's voice changes as she says this. It's not devoid of emotion, but it's very still, and very quiet. Mostly, she's just trying to keep herself calm. Yue is still struggling with what happened then. It isn't often one gets a second chance at life, and then just as quickly, someone tries to take that life away.]

[ That surprises her a lot, and her tone quickly changes to that of anger. ]

Whoa, wait-- what? Seriously? Why? They're the ones that pulled us onto this island!

I don't know why. The one that was speaking at the demonstration said something about how we were supposed to save them all.

["Do you honestly think that this is going to save us? That these people are going to save us? Look at them!

These people aren't even capable of saving themselves!"]

They didn't like that idea, although it was the first time I had ever learned of it. [And so the solution to that problem was apparently an attempted execution.]

That's stupid; how're we supposed to say them when they try to take us out? That makes no sense! Do you know who they were?

[Still working on keeping calm as she thinks back on all of this.]

I've heard that they were one of the gang leaders, but I don't know for sure. Either way, they were killed before we were. So they're not here anymore, although it's still unsafe in most of the sectors.

[ Korra grunts at that, not voicing her thoughts on how that turned out. They had it coming, but Korra thinks that no one would really... deserve death so easily. If things can't be helped, at least. ]

And you've been okay since, Yue? Do you need any help? Protection?

[ Because she's her tribe's Moon Spirit, and you know... as the Avatar, Korra feels she's gotta protect her. Somehow. ]

Sokka has been around to keep me company, and the Water Sector is one of the safer areas. I should be fine soon. [Although that still hasn't done much to stop Yue from staying indoors unless she absolutely has to leave to work or something.]

Thank you, though. [Unlike the line about her being fine, she actually does mean that. But speaking of sectors...]

Which sector have the kedan brought you to?

Sokka? [ Wait, what. Sorry, Yue, she'll respond to your last question, just... ]

You mean... that Sokka? Avatar Aang's friend? [ It's a surprise, but the surprise is mitigated just slightly considering, well... The Moon Spirit's here, too. ]

Yes! He and I are friends, too. [Easier than saying "I was his girlfriend but not really but then I died but now I'm here and he's also here and it's very nice but also kind of confusing but still very nice."]

[ You can hear the bit of a smile in Korra's voice when she says this: ]

Good for us we're both not alone here without friends, huh? I actually wouldn't mind meeting up with either one of you personally, if you guys didn't mind!

Oh, that could be nice! It would be good to properly meet you... well, again, I suppose.

[What with her being Aang's reincarnation and all.]

Great! Asami said she'll be picking me up so she could probably explain this place better. Once I know my way around, I could meet up wherever you are?

Of course! I live in the Water Sector - I could meet you around [place in water sector goes here]?

[ Korra gets that messages and definitely makes sure to save it. ]
