Turner's hypothesis on permanent liminality was significantly elaborated on by Arpad Szakolczai, particularly in Reflexive Historical Sociology. The idea that a liminal state may become "fixed" when the person or persons in question don't integrate into the projected phases because fail to acknowledge either consciously or subconsciously that the conditions for each phase have been met.

That being said, if any of the three examples outlined by Szakolczai were relevant here, it'd be the closest to Bolshevism.
