[Oh hey, it's a less than cheerful Kon. He's a little run down with everything that's been going on lately and he's been thinking a lot about things that happened back home.]

You know what really sucks? No matter what you've got talent wise, not being able to help people you care about. This Emperor chick is a real piece of work and it just gets better and better every time something happens.

[He's quiet for a few moments and then leans back on the chair throwing his arms up.]

But gotta say, loved the snow day. That was pretty killer.

How do you mean? Are people truly leaving? --I beg your pardon if it is a silly question, but I only arrived a week ago, so I am not yet caught up on recent events.

I think it's maybe hit and miss? I thought a team mate left but he showed up again, and someone just recently came back...but we had no idea where he was. [He's rubbing the back of his head and sighing.]

A few weeks ago, I saw a friend I made here. She vanished months ago, but she was still here...in a way. Something is totally going on. Again.

So you think people can leave and come back, even if we do not know how or why, yet. [Temeraire hums thoughtfully.] What do you mean, 'in a way'?

I've got a feeling we'll probably never find out. [He falls silent and...well he can't really blame them for asking.]

It was like they weren't all there. Like someone had taken most of who they were away and they were a shell.

[He's pissed about that part and it comes across.]

That should not stop us from trying.

[Temeraire himself is quiet for a moment, trying to imagine what that might feel like and flattening his ruff back at the idea of it.] Oh, that sounds terrible. I am sorry--I ought not have asked.

It is. It's okay, we've got to know right?

[He won't hide things from people if they ask.]

And--was it the Emperor who did it? Is there any way to fix it?

I don't know for sure? But it's probably more than likely given how she's been with us here. I don't think so. I don't even know what they did. I was kinda too busy freaking out over my friend being there.

[dracobin]

Oh, that is low of the Emperor, if it is true; and I expect you will say there is nothing we can do about her, either, at least for the moment.
