002 ≅ [video/ENCRYPTED 100% TO TURTLES/PRIVATE NETWORK POST]
[This is backdated to the early part of mid-March, before the event.]
[Don takes a deep breath on-screen and flashes a quick, tense smile. He looks nervous, but under that a little haggard. It's what happens when he's spent the last two days going over his encryption algorithm line-by-line, repeatedly, and adjusting it for video usage. And then going over it again. And again. The upside is anyone taking on the task of attempting to hack this is going to get the full brunt of puzzling out Don's aggravated, sleep-deprived mind. This is about as full-proof as he can get with the equipment available to him. It'll have to do.]
Right, hello. If you're getting this, it's because you're a, well...[he gestures to himself, and aside from that his hands stay more-or-less abnormally still for the rest of conversation, a sign of discomfort that might only register to his own Raph] a mutant turtle, like me, and from a similar dimension. Don't worry about anyone not invited seeing this. I'm handling that.
So...you might have been told about this already, but I'll rehash just in case. This is mostly just a place to talk. No pressure or anything, but we just can't keep ignoring one another forever. There are too many of us running around already for that to be plausible, and it's not like there's any guarantee it's ever going to stop. The least we can do is know who's who. [so, in other words, if you want to make sure any of your wayward brothers showing up are pointed in the right direction? SPEAK UP.]
[Don pauses, reaching up to tug at his plastron absentmindedly] I...guess I'll start? My name's Donatello. I'm fifteen. I'm from the same universe as the more recently arrived Raphael. If you think of anything about your homes that might be useful to know, no matter how innocuous you think it is, go ahead and lay it on me. Every little bit helps. So far we've noticed that appearance and age are two of the bigger distinguishing characteristics among us, which is why I recommend using video, but if you're too nervous then it's text. Heck, covering up the camera works just as well. Avoid actual audio mode, if by some weird quirk of electronics you can actually access it. I tried to make sure you couldn't, but you never know, and I don't want anyone yelling at me later because I didn't mention it. Point is, it's not supported right now, and anyone using it could crack this thing open like a bad egg. Which would be, you know, bad.
[Leo take it now Leo take it now before he pours his uneasiness into a babble about his baby go go go someone]

video
Anytime you want to fight me when I'm not freshly-drowned, I'm down for it fatso.
video
[It's gritted out between his teeth, but he takes the opportunity to jump in so he's no longer trying not to stare at the new Raph.]
video
video
[so if you don't mind he's just going to try and keep things from exploding until Leo can grab the reins. THIS WAS THE ENTIRE REASON THEY WANTED A NETWORK POST GDIT]
video
Yeah, right. So that's your excuse? That's about as pathetic as your fightin' skills.
[He leans into the camera, teeth bared and voice lowered, a dangerous look in his eyes.]
So listen, you little twirp. Much as I hate beatin' up little kids, you want a rematch? You got it.
video ABORT ABORT
[usually he'd leave this alone, but this was Raphael was...intimidating, and talking about his brother and- He didn't like the way he looked right now.]
video
[He pushes away from his console, growling something to Leo about getting some air. He can't do this right now. He has to go clear his head and try to come back when he's a little calmer. All he's doing here is making everything worse.]
video
[Raph just cuts off the feet. He's going to go look for criminals to bash in the Metal Sector.]
[ACTION AFTER THIS -edge of the metal sector- ]
He knocks the last one around for a moment, but it's not enough. He stands as they flee, his shoulders hunched and his sai tucked in close against his arms, until he snaps about and slams his heel into a nearby trash can to send it clattering down the alley, spilling refuse over the ground.]
[ACTION]
[Leo had left after his Raph, though, but he'd wandered back in alone-]
[So Don had made a strangled noise, rapidly made his excuses, and fled before he could see if they stuck. He didn't plan to go far, just make a quick pass to see if Raph had ventured to his area, and if that failed then maybe go tap Michaelangelo for help scouring the Water Sector just so he'd know where he'd went.]
[Fortunately, the crash of a trash can draws his attention, and he rapidly turns around to run and investigate.]
[Oh, there he is. Don hesitates, because Raph in a rage isn't something he's near equipped to deal with, but-]
[But it's not like they have a choice, right? They're all they've got. So Don takes a steeling breath and drops carefully down to where Raph is, not bothering to mask his presence.]
...We're going to clean that up, right?
[Great opening, Don]
[ACTION]
[ACTION]
[Don eases down the alley after Raph, kicking what trash he could up into his hands as he went so he didn't have to stoop over and could keep his eyes on his brother. "Do you want to talk about it?" would probably just get something thrown at his head - deservedly so - so he didn't ask.]
Were those guys running away from here, ah, your doing?
[ACTION]
Rrrraugh! This is so stupid!
[ACTION]
[Don watches the trash can spiral away and sighs, dropping the trash to the ground again. It wasn't like he actually expected to get anywhere with it.]
It is...odd? Parallel universes are supposed to be the realm of science fiction and theoretical studies, you know, not...this.
[ACTION]
[Raph punches the wall, but without much vigor to it.] It's odd all right. Lot odder for me than for you, not like you've got another Don here to deal with.

That went well. [He sighs.] Sorry. Just...give him a few minutes to clear his head. This has all been pretty tough.
video
Yeah. Same for mine, I guess.
video;
There's a reason Master Splinter always sends me to deal with him, you know.
video;
[Just how different is this littlest brother of his?]
...I'll talk to him when he gets back. [Maybe this Mikey knows something that the rest of them just don't.]
[Action]
He spends a while pacing back and forth outside the suite, growling at himself, hating himself for how he just came across to those other turtles. But he didn't know what else to do. Something about having two of him here just drives him crazy. The other guys he can handle all right, but that... that wide-eyed little kid. He can't do it.
He's never been that innocent. Not as far as he can remember, and definitely not at fifteen. At fifteen, he took his first life. On that day, he lost whatever shred of innocence he did have. And that other Raphael...
That other Raphael didn't have the look of a killer. He was snotty and annoying and full of glaringly obvious fake machismo. But he had no trace of the howling darkness that he spends every single fucking moment of every damn day beating down to a dull roar inside his head. And seeing that... that sanity parading around in a red mask, calling himself his name...
In the alley next to their building, Raphael lets out a roar, kicking over a garbage can into the street. It startles the crap out of a few kedan, and they hurry, terrified, farther down the road.]
[Action]
[Minutes pass. He hears a banging outside. Leo excuses himself from the Network and disconnects, rising from the chair and crossing the suite to the front door. It opens and closes, and then Leo is following the sound of skittering feet and rolling, hollow metal, finding Raphael in the alley.]
[Wordlessly, he leans against the building corner.]
[Action]
What do you want, Leo?
[Action]
Not this.
[Action]
Yeah, and what's that supposed to mean?
[He has no patience for your cryptic bullshit right now, Leo.]
[Action]
I don't want any of this. [he doesn't want them to hurt you. he doesn't want you to fall apart because of a decision he made.] I'm sorry, Raph. I'm doing the best I can.
