002 ≅ [video/ENCRYPTED 100% TO TURTLES/PRIVATE NETWORK POST]
[This is backdated to the early part of mid-March, before the event.]
[Don takes a deep breath on-screen and flashes a quick, tense smile. He looks nervous, but under that a little haggard. It's what happens when he's spent the last two days going over his encryption algorithm line-by-line, repeatedly, and adjusting it for video usage. And then going over it again. And again. The upside is anyone taking on the task of attempting to hack this is going to get the full brunt of puzzling out Don's aggravated, sleep-deprived mind. This is about as full-proof as he can get with the equipment available to him. It'll have to do.]
Right, hello. If you're getting this, it's because you're a, well...[he gestures to himself, and aside from that his hands stay more-or-less abnormally still for the rest of conversation, a sign of discomfort that might only register to his own Raph] a mutant turtle, like me, and from a similar dimension. Don't worry about anyone not invited seeing this. I'm handling that.
So...you might have been told about this already, but I'll rehash just in case. This is mostly just a place to talk. No pressure or anything, but we just can't keep ignoring one another forever. There are too many of us running around already for that to be plausible, and it's not like there's any guarantee it's ever going to stop. The least we can do is know who's who. [so, in other words, if you want to make sure any of your wayward brothers showing up are pointed in the right direction? SPEAK UP.]
[Don pauses, reaching up to tug at his plastron absentmindedly] I...guess I'll start? My name's Donatello. I'm fifteen. I'm from the same universe as the more recently arrived Raphael. If you think of anything about your homes that might be useful to know, no matter how innocuous you think it is, go ahead and lay it on me. Every little bit helps. So far we've noticed that appearance and age are two of the bigger distinguishing characteristics among us, which is why I recommend using video, but if you're too nervous then it's text. Heck, covering up the camera works just as well. Avoid actual audio mode, if by some weird quirk of electronics you can actually access it. I tried to make sure you couldn't, but you never know, and I don't want anyone yelling at me later because I didn't mention it. Point is, it's not supported right now, and anyone using it could crack this thing open like a bad egg. Which would be, you know, bad.
[Leo take it now Leo take it now before he pours his uneasiness into a babble about his baby go go go someone]

[ACTION]
[Don is hissing his words more than saying them, as soon as his guard drops completely when his body realizes there are no enemies around - only Raph - and he can say them. No malice, though. Too much of his attention his devoted to his eye, and his stupid heart beating a thousand miles an hour in his chest because it doesn't understand that everything is fine]
[He still jerks away instinctively from Raph's hand at first - don't touch, don't touch - but he still lets his wrist be moved after a shaky breath.]
[Don really can't see well, except for blurs and stinging red, squinting even with his good eye in some weird sympathy pain for the injured one. The shard caught him just above the outer corner of the eye itself, meaning there's blood obscuring his vision, and it looks worse than it is, but no damage to the eyeball itself, or even the eyelid. Close, but not dangerous. Just bloody.]
[Don will only tolerate leaving his eye alone for so long, however, before he's reaching back, trying to feel for the injury itself, looking for splinters he might have stupidly trapped.]
[ACTION]
[Raph moves his hands and sits back on his heels when Don reaches up to feel his injury. He doesn't see any splinters, but it's definitely a forehead wound, bleeding like a stuck pig. Don's bandanna is already bloody as hell, so Raph will just wriggle it loose and slide it up over the wound and press his hand to it. Sorry if it hurts, Don.]
[ACTION]
Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure- ow!
[And then Raph decides to try and stem the bleeding, which causes Don to promptly recoil and reach up to take possession of the bandanna back, flustered and a little annoyed because he's flustered. And in pain. And you threw a crate at him, and now he's in the mindset to be annoyed about that.]
I can do it. I don't think it'll even need stitches, but I'll need to look at it first. It's fine.
[ACTION]
Ugh. His stomach feels hot and heavy and sick.]
Don-
[He pulls his hand over his head, back down around his bandanna tails.] I didn't- I wasn't trying to-
[ACTION]
I know, I know. You never do. [That's not actually Don being passive-aggressive. That's just a fact. Raph never would. (And, okay, maybe a little passive-aggressiveness; you nearly put out his eye)] It's fine. I need to get back to my place, okay? I need to get the blood off, and I can't tell everything with just my fingers. Are you coming or not?
[ACTION]
[ACTION]
Progress.]
[Don will move around, throwing his bloody bandanna in the sink and appropriating a towel that he carefully uses only a small section of. He'll tear that part off later, when he has more than one hand to use and spends most of the time trying to get a look at the wound before it becomes bloody and obscured again, which takes a while and makes him feel a little light-headed.]
[Ugh, head injuries. Bleeders.]
[He completely ignores Raph the entire time, at least until he decides the damage isn't worth stitches, and then he makes an irritated noise in his throat, glaring at the mirror and pressing the towel harder to the cut.]
There's my first aid kit upstairs, do you remember where? I'm going to need your help getting this bandaged right.
