He doesn’t seem to have any kind of trouble with the computers, but it’s obvious by the way he’s looking speaking to crowds (and he seems to consider whoever might be looking a ‘crowd’) isn’t really his thing.

Or that’s what he wants to make you believe, anyway. Clark Kent had always been the go to personality in case of kidnapping. He isn’t stupid enough to show where is he exactly living, but you get to see enough of his room to guess he’s in the water sector if you care enough to notice that kind of things. Seeing how calm and easy going the guy seems it shouldn’t come as a surprise.]

Um, hello. [A little friendly wave and a tilt of his head.] I’m not really sure if we’re supposed to-ah, introduce ourselves? I was told everything would be alright and everybody I’ve seen has been rather welcoming so far so I though… [He trails off, shrugging.] Call it farm-boy routine I guess.

[He nods, reaching to play with his wedding ring as he archives this new information somewhere in the back of his mind. He's no one to judge without first-hand information though, so he wants to talk to this Evandau person before he thinks any badly of him for killing those people- even though killing is something he never condones.]

What happened to those who got kidnapped? Are they alright?

Me too.

They got away. I haven't seen or spoken to either of them, but I saw others helping them away from the festival, and to the best of my knowledge, they're still safe.

That's- that's good, at least we don't have to lament any more deaths or injuries. You seem to remember quite a lot about it, wouldn't you happen to have the names of those who got kidnapped by chance?

Metropolis? I don't think any real cities with that name actually exist back home, so we've probably got a case of different worlds. But for the record, I mostly live in New York, on Long Island.

I suspected as much. [Luckily for him people from his world have been people he recognizes so far.]

But we do have a New York in my world. Nice to know some things stay the same.

The number of people from different worlds seems to only keep increasing.

I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It means they might be getting more... random with these kidnappings, I'm still trying to find a pattern.

It is, pretty similar to Metropolis actually. A little darker. [Everywhere is darken than Metropolis though Clark.]

The Emperor told me it wasn't intended to be random. But something went wrong in the summoning process.

Some parts of the city, I guess. You just have to know what to avoid.

Really? That's- did she told you something else about this summoning process? It sounds important.

Just that she was no master of it, and that the sudden arrival of people here was the first successful attempt.

The summoning at least. It was supposed to be a "call for heroes." Apparently we're here to help with a growing threat.

And I suppose it hasn't been specified what the growing threat is or might be?

I asked, but she said she'd explain in the future.

I have to admit it doesn't look good that a person who wants our help would be so secretive.

Not particularly, no. But it explains why they were prepared for our arrival, when it comes to things like the housing.

Which again brings up a question: did they choose the buildings for a particular reason? Do they know our personalities enough to do that?

I've been wondering that myself. I think the sectors are different enough to warrant legitimate speculation along those lines. I wouldn't be surprised.

Which only makes all of this creepier.
