[ Since Evandau's message said to use the radio for important information, Jack has made a visit to Clark and Lois' suite and asked to use the set. ]

Hi everyone... I'll keep this short, but as Evandau said, he asked me to start taking care of the new arrivals at the Welcome Center for the time being. So showing them to their suite, making sure they know about jobs -- though, uh... I guess that part's a little pointless at the moment -- and helping them with the consoles if they're not familiar.

Remember that new people coming in aren't going to know anything about what's going on and since things are dangerous right now, we'll have to make sure they're safe. So if anyone else wants to help with that, it'd be a pretty good time to take up volunteering. Come by the Center if you're interested please, since I can't answer here like with the consoles.

[ Jack will be at the Welcome Center if anyone wants to drop by. It was spared being targeted by the bombings thankfully and so is completely intact. As he mentioned, he'll be hoping that they get some new faces in, since the Center will now need to be staffed at all hours to take in the new arrivals the Emperor was speaking of. He will also ask a kedan courier to deliver a message to Korra, Julie, Booker and Hawke, asking them to come by since he needs to speak with them regarding the fishing shop. ]

[As soon as Korra got the message from the kedan, she packed up the extra water she had been purifying with bending on Naga and heads straight for the Welcome Center.]

Got your message, and I brought some water for any new arrivals. [One of the few times she brings Naga inside with her.]

[ Jack nods, having seen first hand what Korra's bending with water was capable of. ]

Thanks, Korra. How have you been?

[ With the consoles down, it had been harder to check in with people. ]

[If there’s ever been a time Korra wants to simply say ‘Good, and you?’, it’s not nearly as strongly as right now. ]

I’ve, had better months. [Scratching the back of her head, she shrugs with her other shoulder.] But I’m doing fine now. What about you, is everything okay?

[Others first, that’s the way she’s done things since day one.]

I've had better months too.

[ It's said wryly, because that pretty much summed it up. ]

You heard Evandau's message, right?

[They're in the same boat. Way it's been for a while.]

Yeah. Don't use the consoles and he has a new commander. [But she's pretty sure that's not what he meant.]

Do you need me at the Welcome Center?

If you're willing to, I'd appreciate it. You know the fishing shop got hit with one of those bombs...

[ He knew very well; he'd been inside of it at the time, though thankfully no one else had been and no one had been hurt, he'd just been knocked back by the force. ]

Until this thing with... you know, in the Palace... I don't know if it's smart to split time between the two. I think so long as people are arriving and being directed to come to the Center for everything, all my focus has to be here.

I know. I didn’t see the shop until almost a week later. We can rebuild it, I’ve got the money and I can help with the repairs.

[She nods. Any new foreigners coming in will need more attention than before, and she knows Jack’s the right person for that.]

Yeah, but fresh fish is going to be the only food that’s not contaminated. I’ll help at the Welcome Center, I know it needs help. But we need to make sure people have food. Like during the rationing.

And I’m pretty sure no one’s going to want sea prunes as an alternative. [That’s been her main diet when Asti was sick, and Korra’s fully ready to go back to a Southern Water Tribe diet.]

I don't disagree about the fish but I think... maybe something a little more "direct delivery" might be in order. We were so, so lucky I was the only one inside the shop when the bomb went off.

I don't want to make it a target a second time, I'm trying to say.

You were in the shop?!

[That's one small, important detail that she clearly didn't know about until just now.]

Did you get hurt?

[ Oops. ]

Uh, well... yeah, I was in the shop. It's not a big deal, I mean... it's not like it could have killed me or anything.

[ Not the most reassuring track to take, Jack. ]

[No, it most certainly is not and Korra only opens her eyes widely while putting her arms out in a 'That makes everything okay?' gesture.]

You didn't tell anyone? I could have healed you. And yes, that is a big deal!

[She may not be chasing after him anymore, but he's still a friend and Korra makes sure to keep an eye out for those.]

I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want the limited number of healers not helping the people who actually needed it. Don't tell me you wouldn't have done the same in my position, Korra.

[ He's got your number, Avatar. ]

[She opens her mouth to argue, but that’s hard to do when there’s no words to come out. Instead just a small smattering of sputtering.

Give her a second.]

You still should have said something. [She can at least scold. Or something.]

And we should still rebuild the fishing shop. [And that face isn’t changing, and neither is her adamant tone.] We can do direct delivery orders.

[ He knows he's won when she doesn't have anything to say, because it's Korra. ]

... all right. But I have to make sure there's always enough coverage here too.

[Yay, fishing shop! And she didn't have to resort pouting. This time.]

I’ll help any way I can.

[She’s not going to just sit around and do nothing.]

[ He nods, though privately he's not sure this is the best idea still. ]

I know you will. Plus maybe the delivery thing will work better now that you have that ring...

[Korra didn’t think of the ring that way, and it shows when she raises her eyebrows.]

I guess I could, yeah. [She could help but add:] And to think, you used to be the one delivering things.

I miss that, sometimes. I do a few here and there but not like before. Between the shop and the welcome center, there just hasn't been enough hours in the day.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll still ask you deliver somethings every now and then. [But does she ever know about there not being enough time.]

Just don't let me catch you at the hospital this summer, okay?

Aww, still going to find a use for little old me?

[ But it's pretty obvious he's teasing, not thinking that seriously. The grin does turn a bit wry when she mentions summer. ]

Yeah, it... kind of arrived without me looking, didn't it? It should be all right though.

[Oh, teasing? She's ready to roll right with that.] Old maybe, but not little.

Let me know if you need to make an ice fort out of your suite. I'd like to help with that.

I might ask you to help me with that regardless of the season! Then again, Queen Elsa made that big ice castle even if it was only for a while. Maybe we should be trying to top that...
