[Console/Video] The Force Kickoff

My fellow Foreigners and the citizens of Keeliai, I have some news that I believe everyone here needs to be made aware of. 

[His tone is most serious, and he hopes that it will get the attention of anyone who sees this video.]

I've recently felt a disturbance in the Force. For those of you who are unaware, the Force is an energy field that penetrates and binds all living things. In my galaxy, those who are sensitive to it's power are granted extraordinary abilities. 

I do not know what this disturbance is, or where it is coming from, but I feel that it is significant. Thus I ask that everyone be mindful of themselves and their surroundings. If anyone notices anything unusual, I urge you to not keep it to yourself. Please either inform myself or make an announcement via the consoles.

Thanks for the warning, sir. But...[ a moment of hesitation, unsure of how to form his words. ] are there any visible signs to look out for? How do you know if someone is, uh, sensitive to its power?

Since I've never felt anything quite like this before, I'm not sure what to look for.

But as to your other question, a Force sensitive individual often shows signs. Faster than normal reflexes, being able to move objects without touching them, and so on. The Jedi also have means to test such individuals.

I actually knew someone like that. We call them casters in my world. They can use things like telekinesis and whatnot, so I think I get the idea. [ he hums for a moment in thought. ] What could be causing this to happen, though?

[hadthehighground]

That, I don't know.

[The cause of this is even more of a mystery to him than the actual event itself.]

So, yet another weird and unexplainable thing happening in this place. Now it really does feel like home.

[ he stays quiet for a moment, thinking ] Do you think it's going to affect just us Foreigners? Or is there a chance that even those born here will end up being affected by, uh, the Force? [ out of all the weird and vague things to name something... ]

I believe anyone could be susceptible. It feels widespread even though I can't pinpoint what or who is exactly affected.

[omnivident]

And....that's probably going to be a problem, right? I mean-! Not that I want it to be but, if it's going to affect so many...

[ he gulps. something so widespread would probably have more negative consequences than good ones but he really hoped that wouldn't happen. ]

It most certainly could be, and the more people we have looking for it, the sooner we'll discover what it is.

Well, I'll do my best to look for anything that might look weird. Well, weirder than what's already surrounding us. [ chuckles. ] But I'm already getting used to being here.
